Problem
Some 3S1467 Pump Groups-Fuel Injection in dealer parts stock may not have the correct internal metal seal. Pump groups assembled without the correct seal may leak when the pump is installed and pressure is applied to the seal joint. It is not possible to leak test the pump before installation on the engine.
Action Required
Inspect all 3S1467 Pump Groups-Fuel Injection in parts stock for a date code in the location shown in the illustration. The date code is located on the bottom face (gear end) of the pump body between the part number and the o-ring groove. If no date code exists, remove the pump group from parts stock. Pump groups that have a date code in this location have the correct seal and should not be removed from parts stock. ****** IMAGE: SEBE4456.00001.001 CAPTION:
