Information:
power switch to the ON position.
Press the "Power" key in order to turn on the control module.
The display will show the pressure and the trip point "(TR/PT)" for the pressure.
The display should indicate a pressure that is in the range of + 100 psi to - 100 psi. This is the normal reading at this point.
The "TR/PT" will be set at the default setting of 5000 psi.Expected Result:The control module displays the expected information. Results:
OK - The control module displays the expected information. Proceed to test step 2.Test Step 2. Set the Pressure to Zero Pressure.
Press the "Enter (ENT)" and the "ZERO" keys at the same time. The display will show "PSI" as zero.
Press the "ENT" key. The display will return to the "PSI/TR/PT" display screen. The "PSI" should read 0 "PSI" and the "TR/PT" should read 5000 "TR/PT".Expected Result:The control module displays the expected information. Results:
OK - The control module displays the expected information. Proceed to test step 3.Test Step 3. Set the Control Module to Full Scale "(F/S)".
Press the "ENT" and the "F/S" keys at the same time. The display will show that the "PSI" is 15000 and that the "F/S" is 15000.
Record the calibration factor that is present on the pressure transducer.
The "F/S" reading on the display should match the calibration factor on the pressure transducer. If necessary, change the value for "F/S" in order to match the value for the calibration factor. Use the four arrow keys on the control module to set the "F/S" value. The four arrow keys perform the following functions:
The left arrow key moves the cursor to the left.
The right arrow key moves the cursor to the right.
The up arrow key increases the numerical value of the digit.
The down arrow key decreases the numerical value of the digit.
Press the "ENT" key. The display will return to the "PSI/TR/PT" display screen.Expected Result:The control module displays the expected information. Results:
OK - The control module displays the expected information. The setup is complete. The "TR/PT" value needs to be changed. Proceed to test step 4.Test Step 4. Change the Value of the Trip Point.
The "TR/PT" pressure can be changed by the use of the four arrow keys. Note: If the "TR/PT" pressure is set to the same value as the "PSI" pressure, an over pressure trip will occur. When the over pressure trip occurs, the transmission is set to the neutral position and the engine rpm will be set to idle. The display will show "OVER/TRIP". "OVER" is the "TR/PT" pressure. "TRIP" is the pressure value from the transducer.Note: The throttle control must be set to the idle position and the reset key must be pressed in order to reset the over pressure trip.Note: The trip point can be tested by pressing the "TEST" key. Press the "RESET" key after performing the test. The display will return to the "PSI/TR/PT" display screen. The engine throttle can now be set to the desired rpm.Expected Result:The trip point should be set. Results:
OK - The trip point has been set.Repair: The setup is now complete. Stop.
