Information:

4. Loosen clamps (1) and slide hose (3) away from the radiator. Remove inlet tube (2) from the top of the radiator.5. Loosen clamps (5) and slide the hose on to the water pump for outlet tube (4). Remove outlet tube (4) from the hose on the radiator. 6. Remove the bolts that hold grille plates (6) and (7) to the radiator guard. Use two persons and remove grille plates (6) and (7). The weight is approximately 60 lb. (27 kg). 7. Disconnect wires (8) from the horns and clamp (9). Move the wires to the rear of the radiator. 8. Disconnect wire (11) from each light on each side of the radiator guard.9. Remove light guard (10) and light from each side of the radiator guard. 10. Remove cover (12) from the radiator guard. 11. Remove bolts (13) that hold the radiator to the shield assemblies. 12. Remove bracket assemblies (14) that hold the bottom of the radiator in place. 13. Install a 1/2" - 13 NC forged eyebolt (15) in the tank assembly of the radiator or use tooling (A) on each side of the radiator as shown and fasten a hoist.
Be extra careful not to cause damage to the radiator as it is removed.
14. Remove bolts (17) from each side of the radiator guard and remove radiator (16). The weight is 450 lb. (203 kg).Install Radiator
1. Install tooling (A) on each side of the radiator or install a 1/2" - 13 NC forged eyebolt (2) in the tank assembly of the radiator and fasten a hoist.
Be extra careful not to cause damage to the radiator when it is installed.
2. Put radiator (1) in position in the radiator guard. 3. Install bracket assembly (3) on each side that holds the bottom of the radiator in place. 4. Install bolts (4) on each side that holds the top of the radiator in place.5. Put wire (5) and clamps in place and install bolts (6) from the bottom side that hold the radiator to the shield assemblies. 6. Install cover (7) on the radiator guard. 7. Install the light and light guard (9) on each side of the radiator guard.8. Connect wire (8) to each light. 9. Put wires (10) in position through clamp (11) and connect wires (10) to the horns. 10. Use two persons and install grille plates (12) and (13). 11. Install outlet tube (17) to the hose on the radiator. Slide the hose from the water pump on to outlet tube (17) and tighten all the clamps.12. Install inlet tube (15) to the radiator.13. Slide hose (14) in position and tighten clamps (16).14. Install the crankcase guard under the radiator.15. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. See MAINTENANCE GUIDE.16. Install the hood.Disassemble Radiator
start by: a) remove radiator This operation was done on a radiator for a power shift, precombustion chambered engine. It has twelve cores. The radiator for a direct drive, precombustion chambered engine has eight cores. 1. Remove baffles (1) and (2). 2. Remove supports (4) and (5).3. Remove eight bolts (6) that hold the channels to the top tank. Remove top tank (3) and the seals. 4. Remove bolt (8) from each side that holds the bracket for the outside cores in place.5. Remove straps (9) that hold cores (7) together.6. Remove cores (7) from the bottom tank. 7. Remove seals (10) from bottom tank (11). 8. Remove eight bolts (14) and remove channels (12) and (13) from bottom tank (11). 9. Inspect seal strips (15) in the channels. If necessary remove the bracket that holds the seal strip in place and remove seal strip (15) from each channel.Assemble Radiator
1. Put bottom tank (1) in position on wooden blocks as shown. 2. If a replacement was necessary, put a seal strip (2) that is 42.13 in. (107 cm) long in position in each channel with the side that has adhesive on it down. Install the bracket that holds the seal strips in place in the channels. The seal strips go toward the back of the radiator. 3. Install channels (3) and (4) on the bottom tank. Make sure the seal strips in the channel are toward the back of the radiator. 4. Make sure the holes in the bottom tank are clean. Put liquid soap on the sealing areas and install seals (5) on the bottom tank. Put the liquid soap on the seals just before assembly. 5. Put liquid soap inside the holes of seals (5). Install bracket (6) to each of the end cores. Do not tighten the bolts. Install core (7) and install the bolt that holds bracket (6) to the channel. 6. Install the next core (7) with the bevels together as shown.7. Install strap (8) that holds the cores together. Do not tighten the bolts. 8. Install the remainder of cores (7) in the bottom tank with the bevels together. Connect the cores with straps (8). Do not tighten the bolts. Make sure bracket (6) is installed on the other end core. Put the liquid soap on the seals just before assembly. 9. Put liquid soap on the sealing areas of seals (9). Put liquid soap inside the holes of seals (9). Put seals (9) on the cores. 10. Make sure each hole in top tank (10) is clean. Put liquid soap on the sealing areas of the top tank for the seals. Install top tank (10). Make sure each core is in alignment with the holes in the top tank. Carefully push top tank (10) into position on the cores. Install the bolts that hold the channels to the top tank. 11. Install supports (11). Do not tighten the bolts. 12. Make an adjustment to the cores to get a gap (X) of .25 in. (6.4 mm) between the bevel end of the cores (grille side).13. Tighten straps (8) as the adjustments are made. Tighten the remainder of the bolts that hold the cores and top tank in place. 14. Install baffles
