Information:
start by:a) remove starting motorb) remove fuel injection lines1. Turn the valve for the fuel supply to the "OFF" position. 2. Remove pin (2) that holds rod (1) to the governor lever.3. Remove tube assembly (3). Disconnect tube assembly (4).4. Remove crankcase breather tube (5). 5. Install tooling (A) in the flywheel housing.6. Remove breather plug (6) from the flywheel housing. 7. Remove timing pin (7). Remove bolt (8). Put timing pin (7) in hole where bolt (8) was removed. 8. Put No. 1 piston at the top center compression (TC) position with the procedure that follows: a) Turn the crankshaft clockwise (as seen from the front of the engine) until tool (B) can be installed through the timing hole in the flywheel housing and into the hole in the flywheel. The timing pin (7) must fall into bolt hole within 1/8 in. (3.18 mm) of the timing pin head. Never turn the crankshaft backward to install the bolt in the flywheel.b) Disconnect the breather from the valve cover. The rocker arms can be seen through the breather hole for the No. 1 piston.c) Check to see if both rocker arms for the No. 1 piston can be moved backward and forward by hand through the breather hole. The No. 1 piston is at the top center compression position when tool (B) is installed in the flywheel and both rocker arms for No. 1 piston can be moved backward and forward.d) If both rocker arms can not be moved, the No. 1 piston is not at the top center compression position. Remove the bolt from the flywheel. Turn the crankshaft clockwise (as seen from the front of the engine) one full turn (360°) and install the bolt again. 9. Remove the nuts (10) that hold cover (9). 10. Remove drive gear with tooling (C).11. Fasten a hoist to the fuel injection pump housing for support. 12. Disconnect tube (13) by removal of bolt and clip.13. Remove three bolts (11) that hold bracket to the engine and two bolts (14) that hold bracket to bottom of governor. Remove the bracket (12).14. Remove three nuts (16) and remove the fuel injection pump housing and governor (15) from the timing gear plate. Weight is 50 lb. (23 kg).Install Fuel Injection Pump Housing And Governor
1. Put fuel injection pump housing and governor (1) in position on the studs in the timing gear plate and install the nuts that hold the unit. 2. Install the support bracket (2) for the fuel injection pump housing with the bolts that hold it. 3. Put drive gear in position on the fuel pump housing shaft and install the bolt that holds it. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 110 5 lb.ft. (149 7 N m). Install cover (3) and the nuts that hold it. 4. Remove tooling (A) and (B). Remove timing pin (4) from the cover and install it in the governor housing. Install bolt (5). 5. Install crankcase breather tube (10).6. Install tube assembly (7).7. Install tube assembly (8).8. Install tube (9).9. Connect rod (6) to the governor lever.10. Turn the valve for the fuel supply to the "ON" position.end by:a) install fuel injection leverb) install starting motor
