Information:

1. Turn the engine until No. 1 piston is at top center compression stroke. Install bolt (1) in the flywheel. 2. Remove timing pin (5) from the storage hole and install it through the timing hole in the fuel injection pump camshaft housing. When installed, it must be even with the top of the fuel pump housing.3. Remove brackets (2).4. Disconnect linkage (4).5. Remove tube assembly (3).6. Put identification on the wires. Disconnect the wires from switch (6). Remove the switch. 7. Disconnect tube assemblies (7) and (11).8. Disconnect wire (8) from the switch.9. Disconnect tube assembly (10).10. Remove both bolts (9). 11. Remove tube assemblies (12) and (14) from the turbochargers and cover (13).12. Remove cover (13). 13. Remove bolts and locks. Remove gear (15).
Make sure timing pin (5) is removed from the fuel injection pump housing before the bolts, locks and gear (15) are removed.
14. Remove bolts (16) from the bracket.15. Remove bracket (17). 16. Remove brackets (19) and bolts (18) that hold the fuel injection pump housing to the engine. 17. Install four 3/8"-16 NC forged eyebolts in the pump housing.18. Fasten a hoist and move the assembly forward to clear the O-ring seal at the rear of the pump housing. Remove the fuel injection pump housing, governor and fuel filter housing as a unit. Weight is 260 lb. (118 kg).Install Fuel Injection Pump Housing, Governor And Fuel Filter Housing
1. Put 1P808 General Purpose Lubricant on O-ring seal (1). Use a hoist to put the fuel injection pump housing, governor and fuel filter housing in position on the engine. Move the assembly toward the rear of the engine so the O-ring seal makes a seat in the cylinder block.2. Remove the hoist and the forged eyebolts. Install the bolts from where the forged eyebolts were removed.3. Install the body ground bolt in the hold in the fuel injection pump housing with the identification "G". Tighten the body ground bolt to a torque of 85 5 lb.ft. (115.2 6.8 N m). Install the three other bolts in the fuel injection pump housing. Tighten the bolts (2) to a torque of 75 10 lb.ft. (101.7 6.8 N m). 4. Install brackets (3). Install the bolts in the fuel injection pump housing. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 75 10 lb.ft. (101.7 13.6 N m). 5. Install bolts (4) in the bracket.6. Install bracket (5). 7. Make sure the bolt can be installed in the flywheel and the timing pin can be installed in the fuel injection pump camshaft housing. Install gear (6). Tighten the bolts first to a torque of 10 lb.ft. (13.6 N m). Remove the bolt from the flywheel and the timing pin. Tighten the bolts last in gear (6) gradually to a torque of 75 10 lb.ft. (101.7 13.6 N m).8. Turn the flywheel two complete revolutions counterclockwise (as viewed from the flywheel end). Install the bolt in the flywheel and the timing pin in the fuel injection pump camshaft housing. If the timing pin can not be installed, the pump timing is not correct. Loosen the gear and put the pump into time. Install cover (8). Install tube assemblies (7) and (9). 10. Connect tube assemblies (10) and (14) to the fuel filter housing.11. Install tube assembly (13). Install both bolts (12). Connect wire (11) to the switch. 12. Install switch (19). Connect the wires to the switch.13. Install timing pin (18) in the storage hole.14. Install tube assembly (16). Connect linkage (17).15. Install brackets (15).end by:a) install fuel injection lines.
