Illustration 2 g06406192From the home screen, use the "ACK Diag" icon to acknowledge the active diagnostic. This will cause the (!) icon to stop flashing red or yellow. The alarm is still active after acknowledgment and the appropriate action will need to be taken to clear and reset the alarm or shutdown.

The Active Diagnostics screen shall show the active warnings and errors.

Active Diagnostics
After selecting the diagnostics icon, the user will find a list of any active diagnostic codes. More information on each diagnostic code can be found by selecting the code found on this screen.Use the menu icon on the right side of the screen to toggle between active and logged diagnostic codes.
Illustration 5 g06406547The clear diagnostics icon allows the user to clear any active diagnostic codes if the engine monitoring system allows the code to be cleared. Certain diagnostic codes may not be cleared through the display if the conditions which generated the codes are still present.

Service Test
Also found in the diagnostics screen is a menu icon for service tests.

Service Test
The user may perform a series of service tests using the D6C display. These tests check various things such as Crankcase Pressure Calibration and Engine Exhaust NOx Calibration.To run a specific test, the user must press the desired test tab and follow the instructions on that page.To access this Icon, the user will need to first log in as a technician under the settings screen. Within this submenu you will find the available service tests that can be initiated through the display. Each service test may require specific actions and engine operating states to properly conduct the test. The service tests are only initiated though the HMI display must be supported by the engines flash file in order to be utilized. Refer to the engines System Operation and Testing and Adjusting Manual for more information regarding specific Cat ET service tests.Within the service test menu, the user may find the tests listed below:

Product Status Report (PSR)
A Product Status Report (PSR) shall be generated that has similar format and content as the report generated byCat ET. This report shall be generated by inserting a USB Drive into the display, navigating to the Diagnostics Menu, and selecting the "PSR" button on the right sidebarAn example first page of a PSR is shown in Illustration 10

(1) PSR buttonPSR button (1) - This button shall activate the generation of the PSR. For the report to generate, a USB drive must be connected.The PSR icon under the diagnostic screen will allow for a PSR to be downloaded to a USB thumb drive if the drive is present in the USB port found at the local control panel or directly by inserting the USB into the bottom side of the HMI display into the USB port. A PSR is an engine ECM generated report that provides all engine operating information such as the engine serial number, engine software version, active or logged diagnostics, configuration and monitoring system settings, and current totals.
