Information:

At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the implement hydraulic circuits (boom, stick, implement and swing), the travel circuits and the hydraulic oil tank at the breather cap before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed. Remove the filler plug only when the engine is stopped and the filler plug is cool enough to touch.
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows: a. Start the machine. Fully retract the stick cylinder rod.b. Adjust the position of the implement so that it will be flat on the ground when the boom is lowered.c. Lower the implement until it is flat on the ground.d. Shut off the engine.e. Place the engine start switch in the ON position without starting the engine.f. Move the control levers for the boom, stick and the implement to all full stroke positions. This will release any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.g. Slowly move the travel pilot control pedal to FORWARD and REVERSE travel positions. This will release any pressure in the travel circuit.h. Slowly loosen and remove the pressure cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.i. Reinstall and tighten the pressure cap on the hydraulic oil tank.j. The pressure in the hydraulic system has been released and implement/travel lines and components can be removed. 2. Remove two bolts (2) and the washers from firewall (1) located over the main hydraulic pump. 3. Remove three bolts (3) and the washers from firewall (1). 4. Remove one bolt (4) and the washer from firewall (1). 5. Remove two bolts (5) and plate (6) from the spray shield. Remove two bolts (7), the nuts and two plates (8) from the spray shield. 6. Remove three bolts (9) and the washers from spray shield (10). Remove the firewall from the machine. 7. Put identification marks on two hose assemblies (11) that are connected to the hydraulic oil filter group for installation purposes. Oil will drain from hose assemblies (11) when they are disconnected. Place a drain pan under the hydraulic oil filter group to contain the drain oil. Disconnect the two hose assemblies from the hydraulic oil filter group. Put a plug in the end of each hose assemblies to prevent oil loss and to keep dirt out of the hydraulic system. 8. For installation purposes, put identification marks on two hose assemblies (12) that are connected to the oil level gauge group for the hydraulic oil tank. Oil will drain from hose assemblies (12) when they are disconnected. Place a drain pan under the oil level gauge group to contain the drain oil. Disconnect the two hose assemblies from the oil level gauge group. Put a plug in the end of each hose assemblies to prevent oil loss and to keep dirt out of the hydraulic system. 9. Disconnect electrical connector (13) for the ether starting aid. 10. Disconnect tube assembly (14) for the ether starting aid at the engine. 11. Remove bolt (15) and clamp (16) that hold the two heater hose assemblies in position to tube assembly (17) at the front of the engine. 12. Remove bolt (18) and the washer that hold the engine enclosure to the radiator shroud.
Typical Example13. Fasten lifting slings and a hoist to engine enclosure (19) as shown. Put slight lifting tension on the engine enclosure group. 14. Remove two bolts (21), the washer, nut and plate that hold tube assembly (20) to the frame of the machine. 15. Remove two nuts (22), the bolts and washers that hold the other end of tube assembly (17) to the frame of the machine. 16. Remove two bolts (24), the washers and nuts that hold rear support assembly (23) to the frame of the machine.
View From Under Machine17. Remove two bolts (25), the washers and nuts that hold front support assembly (26) to the frame of the machine.18. Carefully remove engine enclosure group (19) from the machine. The weight of the engine enclosure group is 116 kg (255 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the engine enclosure group.
Typical Example19. Fasten a lifting sling and a hoist to engine enclosure (19) as shown. Carefully put the engine enclosure in position on the machine. Do not remove the hoist from the engine enclosure at this time.
View From Under Machine20. Install two bolts (25), the washers and nuts that hold front support assembly (26) to the frame of the machine. 21. Install two bolts (24), the washers and nuts that hold rear support assembly (23) to the frame of the machine. 22. Install two nuts (22), the bolts and washers that hold tube assembly (17) to the frame of the machine. 23. Install two bolts (21), the washer, nut and plate that hold tube assembly (20) to the frame of the machine. 24. Install bolt (18) and the washer that hold the engine enclosure to the radiator shroud.25. Remove the hoist from the engine enclosure. 26. Install bolt (15) and clamp (16) that hold the two heater hose assemblies in position to tube assembly (17) at the front of the engine. 27. Connect tube assembly (14) for the ether starting aid at the engine. 28. Connect electrical connector (13) for the ether starting aid. 29. Connect two hose assemblies (12) to the oil level gauge group in their original locations. 30. Connect two hose assemblies (11) to the hydraulic oil filter group in their original locations. 31. Put the firewall in position in the machine. Install three bolts (9) and the washers in spray shield (10). 32. Install two bolts (5) and plate (6) in the spray shield. Install two bolts (7), the nuts and two plates (8) in the spray shield. 33. Install one bolt (4) and the washer in firewall (1). 34. Install three bolts (3) and the washers in firewall (1). 35. Install two bolts (2) and the washers in firewall
