2. Remove four bolts (2) that fasten gauge panel to plate assembly. Remove bolt (1) used to fasten clip and support (3) to plate assembly. 3. Remove bolt (4) used to fasten clip to plate assembly. 4. Remove bolts (5) used to fasten the governor control housing (6) to plate. Put housing (6) where it will not be damaged during engine removal.5. Fasten a hoist to the plate assembly. Remove bolt (7) from each side of the plate assembly. Remove plate assembly (8). The weight of the assembly is 67 lb. (30 kg). 6. Disconnect the water temperature gauge sending unit (9) from the cylinder head. Remove support (3) and wire from the engine.7. Disconnect wire from the water temperature switch (12). Remove wiring harness (11) from engine.8. Disconnect hose assembly (10) from the air compressor. 9. Loosen both hose clamps (13) on tube assembly and remove hose (15) from water pump.10. Remove bolts and clips (14) from engine. 11. Loosen both hose clamps (20) on the tube assembly and remove hose (16) from tube assembly.12. Remove bolt (18) and clip from bottom of fuel tank.13. Remove bolt and clamp (19). Remove tube assembly (17). 14. Put identification on the two transmission oil lines and remove lines (23) from the transmission oil cooler.15. Remove bolt and clip (24) from the flywheel housing.16. Disconnect the oil pressure gauge line (21) from the cylinder block fitting.17. Remove three wires (22) from the switch.18. Disconnect the air compressor hose line (25) from fitting. 19. Turn the fuel supply valve at location (28) to the "OFF" position.20. Remove two fuel lines (29) from the fuel injection pump. Remove line (26) from the fuel filter.21. Remove bolt and clip (27) from the oil filler tube. 22. Put identification on the cables for the electric starting motor. Remove cables (30) and wiring harness (31) from the engine. 23. Fasten a hoist to the engine and remove the twelve bolts (32) used to fasten the engine to transmission adapter. 24. Remove the four bolts that hold the engine front support to the frame. Remove the shims (33) from under the front support. Remove engine. The weight of the engine is 1500 lb. (675 kg). Keep the shims that are between the engine front support and the frame in their correct relationship with the engine front support for use during installation.Install Engine
1. Inspect the O-ring seal on housing (2) and make a replacement if necessary.2. Fasten a hoist to the engine. Lift the engine and put it in position in the machine. If necessary to make an alignment of the flywheel and gear (1), remove the electric starting motor and install a 5P7307 Engine Trunnion Tool Group.3. Move the engine back toward the transmission until the flywheel and gear are in alignment. 4. Install bolts (3) to fasten the adapter to the flywheel housing. 5. Install the original amount of shims (5) in their correct locations under the engine front support (4). Install the front support bolts. Tighten bolts to a torque of 150 20 lb.ft. (205 27 N m). 6. If the electric starting motor was removed, install motor (8) and install wiring harness (7) and cables (6) in position on the motor. 7. Install fuel lines (11) to the fuel injection pump. Install fuel line (9) to the fuel filter.8. Put clips (10) in position and install bolt to hold it on the oil filler tube. 9. Put air compressor line clip (14) in position on the flywheel housing and install bolt to hold clip in place.10. Connect two transmission oil lines (13) on the transmission oil cooler.11. Connect air compressor line (16) to fitting and oil pressure line to cylinder block fitting (12).12. Install three wires (15) from harness on switch. 13. Put two clips (19) used to hold two hose assemblies in position and install bolts to hold them.14. Put tube (17) in position on the machine. Install the hoses (21) and the clamps (18) on each end of the tube.15. Install clip (20) in position on the bottom of the fuel tank. 16. Install wire on the water temperature switch (25).17. Install support (22) on cylinder head and install the water temperature gauge sending unit (23) in the cylinder head.18. Connect hose assembly (24) to the air compressor. 19. Put governor control housing (27) in position on plate and install bolts to hold it in place.20. Fasten a hoist to the plate assembly (26). Put in position and install bolts on each side of the plate assembly. 21. Install clip and bolt (28) in position on the plate assembly. 22. Install the bolt (30) that holds support (22) and clip to the plate assembly.23. Put the gauge panel (29) in position on plate assembly and install the bolts that hold it. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Turn the fuel supply to the "ON" position.end by:a) install hoodb) install pump group drive shaft
