At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. The radiator and all lines to heaters or the engine contain hot water or steam. Any contact can cause severe burns. Look at the sight gauge to check the coolant level. The coolant level should be in the green range. If necessary, remove the fill cap only after the engine has been stopped and the cap is cool enough to remove with your bare hand. Remove the cooling system fill cap slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system condition contains alkali that can cause personal injury. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes and do not drink. Allow cooling system components to cool before draining.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the breather filter cap only when the engine is stopped and the breather filter cap is cool enough to touch. Slowly loosen the breather filter cap to release any pressure in the hydraulic tank. Be cautious of hot hydraulic oil when any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
Put identification on all lines, hoses, wires and tubes for installation purposes. Cap and plug all lines, hoses and tubes to prevent foreign material from entering the system.1. Drain all fluids in a suitable container for storage or disposal. 2. Disconnect three hose assemblies (1) from the tank assembly.3. Disconnect two hose assemblies (2) from the quick drop valve.4. Remove two hose clips (3) and reposition hose assemblies (10) and (2) away from the radiator guard. 5. Remove six bolts (4) and remove support (5). 6. Remove eight bolts (7).7. Remove two sections of fan guard (6). 8. Remove tow lower radiator hose assemblies (8) from the lower radiator tank. 9. Remove 10 bolts (9) and remove both lower shield assemblies (10). 10. Install Tool (B) to the top of radiator guard and fasten a hoist as shown. 11. Remove three bolts (11) and remove plate assembly (12). 12. Remove two bolts (14) and retainer (13) from both rear pins.13. Install Tool (A) and remove both rear radiator guard pins. 14. Carefully lift and pull forward the radiator guard assembly until it rests on frame pads. The following steps are to tilt the radiator guard back to the original position. 15. Install Tool (B) and a hoist to the top of the radiator guard assembly as shown.16. Carefully lift and pull backward the radiator guard assembly until both rear pins can be installed. 17. Install retainer (13) and bolts (14) on both sides of the radiator guard assembly. 18. Install plate assembly (12) and bolts (11). 19. Install both lower shield assembly (10) and bolts (9). 20. Install two lower radiator hose assembly (8). 21. Install both fan guard assembly (6) and bolts (7). 22. Install support (5) and bolts (4). 23. Install hydraulic hose assembly (2).24. Install coolant hose assembly (1).25. Install two clips (3).End By:a. install air conditioner condenserb. install hoodc. install front bottom guard Refer to the Topic "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities" in the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the proper filling procedure and the proper levels for the hydraulic system and the cooling system.
