Use Tooling (G) and a suitable press in order to install front sleeve bearing (11) into fan mounting hub (12) until Tooling (G) contacts the face of fan mounting hub (12) .

Use Tooling (E), Tooling (F), Tooling (H), and a suitable press in order to install seal retainer assembly (30) on fan mounting hub (12) until Tooling (H) makes contact with the shoulder on fan mounting hub (12) .

Note: Do not polish the ground surface of the wear sleeve. Do not scratch the ground surface of the wear sleeve. Wipe off excess sealant with a clean, soft cloth. The front wear sleeve (31) is color coded red on the inner diameter of the sleeve.
Apply Tooling (K) to the inside of front wear sleeve (31) and the outside of the shoulder on the fan mounting hub (12). Use Tooling (F) and press the front wear sleeve (31) on fan mounting hub (12) until front wear sleeve (31) stops against the shoulder.

Apply Tooling (M) to the bore of bearing retainer assembly (13) and the outer diameter of bearing (29). Place suitable blocking under bearing retainer assembly (13). Use Tooling (E) and a suitable press in order to install bearing (30) into the bore of bearing retainer assembly (13) until the bearing becomes flush with the bottom of the bore. Install retainer ring (27) in the bore of bearing retainer assembly (13) .

Note: The seal lip must remain dry. Do not allow the sealant to contact the seal lip. Wipe off excess sealant and remove any strings of sealant after the seal has been installed.
Apply Tooling (L) to the bore of bearing retainer assembly (13) and the outer diameter of oil seal (28). Place suitable blocking under bearing retainer assembly (13), as shown. Use Tooling (E) and a suitable press in order to install oil seal (28) into the bore of bearing retainer assembly (13). Tooling (E) will stop against the face of bearing retainer (13). This will position the seal in the proper location.

Note: Do not allow the seal lip on the bearing retainer assembly to contact the bearing mount compound. Do not lubricate the components. The seal must be dry when the components are assembled.
Apply Tooling (M) to the inner diameter of bearing (29) in bearing retainer assembly (13). Apply Tooling (M) on fan mounting hub (12). Place suitable blocking under fan mounting hub (12). Use Tooling (E), Tooling (F), Tooling (H) and a suitable press in order to install bearing retainer assembly (13) onto fan mounting hub (12). Do not allow the seal lip on the bearing retainer assembly to contact the bearing mount compound. Do not lubricate the seal lip. After the components are assembled, spin bearing retainer assembly (13) for approximately 25 revolutions on fan mounting hub (12) in order to burnish the wear sleeve.
