Information:

start by: a) remove radiator, hydraulic oil cooler and guard as a unit.1. Drain the engine crankcase and transmission. 2. Disconnect lines (1) and (2) from torque converter oil cooler and remove clamp that holds lines to flywheel housing.3. Remove water line (3) from the engine oil cooler.4. Remove water elbow (5) and heat shield. 5. Remove the two exhaust elbows (4).6. Remove water temperature line (6) from regulator housing.7. Disconnect inlet line (7) and outlet line from primary fuel filter and remove filter.8. Disconnect all wires (8) from alternator. Put identification on wires for installation purpose.9. Disconnect air indicator line from top of firewall. 10. Remove bracket (9) from air inlet pipe to gain clearance for lifting chain.11. Disconnect governor control linkage (10) at lever behind engine.12. Disconnect wire (11) from the torque converter valve.13. Remove shield (12) from behind the engine.14. Disconnect gauge line (13) for oil pressure.15. Disconnect both ether aid lines (15) at the frame.16. Remove filler tube and gauge tube (14) from engine. 17. Disconnect the glow plug wires and the wires from the brake warning alarm sensing unit (16) and remove wires from engine. 18. Disconnect all wires (17) from the starters. Put identification on wires for installation purpose. 19. Disconnect the three hoses (19) from the oil return manifold at bottom of torque converter housing.20. Loosen clamp (18) and remove suction line (20) from pump. 21. Disconnect line (23) and remove pump (25) from pump drive.22. Disconnect the temperature gauge line (21) from the torque converter.23. Disconnect pipe (22) and hoses from the torque converter.24. Remove the valve (24) from the torque converter.25. Disconnect the power take-off lubrication line located on the lower left side of the power take-off (right side of machine).26. Disconnect drive shaft (27) at the pump drive flange.27. Disconnect the torque converter output shaft (26) at the torque converter.28. Remove the two bolts from the pump drive support. Remove the two caps from the engine rear supports.29. Remove the bolts from the engine front support. 30. Fasten a hoist and tool (A) so the front of engine is a little higher than the rear. Lift the engine and remove from the machine. Weight is 9,500 lb. (4,309 kg).31. Install the engine on tool (B).32. Remove pump drive support bracket from torque converter. 33. Install two 5/8"-11 NC forged eyebolts (28) in the top of the torque converter.34. Fasten a hoist to the torque converter as a support.35. Remove the bolts that hold the power take-off to the engine.36. Remove the power take-off and torque converter as a unit. Weight is 990 lb. (449 kg). 37. Remove bolts and locks (29) from the drive gear (30). Remove drive gear from flywheel.Install Engine, Power Take-Off, Torque Converter As A Unit
1. Install the drive gear (1) in the flywheel. Install the locks and bolts.2. Fasten a hoist and put the power take-off and torque converter in position on the engine.3. Install bolts (3) that hold the power take-off to engine. 4. Install support bracket (2) for pump drive on torque converter. 5. Install tool (A) and a hoist. Remove the engine, power take-off, torque converter from tool (B) and put in position in the machine. 6. Install the two caps (4) on rear supports. 7. Install the bolts (5) in the engine front support.8. Install water line (6) on the engine oil cooler.9. Connect the two oil lines to the torque converter oil cooler. 10. Install the two bolts (7) in the pump drive support.11. Connect the power take-off lubrication line with location on the lower left side of the power take-off (right side of machine).12. Connect the torque converter output shaft. 13. Connect drive shaft (10) at the pump drive flange.14. Install pump (9) on pump drive.15. Install suction line for pump.16. Connect outlet line (8) to pump.17. Connect the three hoses to the oil return manifold on bottom of torque converter housing.18. Connect the temperature gauge line for the torque converter.19. Install the control valve for the torque converter and connect wire.20. Connect the supply line for torque converter.21. Connect the wires for glow plugs and brake warning system. 22. Connect all wires (11) to the starters.23. Connect gauge line for oil pressure and ether aid lines.24. Install shield behind engine and connect control linkage for governor.25. Install filler tube and gauge tube on engine.26. Install bracket for air inlet line.27. Connect indicator line for air cleaner. 28. Connect wires (12) to alternator.29. Connect inlet and outlet fuel lines (13) to primary filter. 30. Install the two exhaust elbows (15).31. Install water elbow (14) and heat shield.32. Install temperature line for water.33. Fill crankcase and transmission with oil to correct level.end by: a) install radiator, hydraulic oil cooler and guard as a unit
