Override Parameters
The override parameters screen has multiple overrides. The parameters control various functions on the engine and Clean Emissions Module (CEM). These functions and features allow the technician to troubleshoot different engine systems.Cat ET Location
Connect to Cat ET.
Select the appropriate ECM.
Select the "Diagnostics" tab.
Select the "Diagnostic Tests" tab.
Select the "Override Parameter" tab. Override Parameters Listed in the Engine ECM Menu
Injection Disable Override
This override is used to turn off the fuel injector circuits in order to stop the engine from running.Override Parameters Listed in the Selective Catalyst Reduction Menu
Aftertreatment #1 DEF Return Valve Override
This override turns on the DEF Return Valve circuit in order to test the return valve and the circuit for proper operation.Aftertreatment #1 SCR Dosing Air Assist Valve Command Override

The purpose of this screen is to show operator inducement reset. Cat ET Location

Select the engine ECM.
Select the "Sevice " tab.
Select the "Service Procedures" tab.

Illustration 1 g03861612The "Operator Inducement Reset" allows the user to reset the 40 hour inducement counter to 0 prior to delivery of the product. During commissioning procedures, if faults are created that affect the operation of the emissions system, and the product is then delivered to the customer and another fault occurs, the customer may be forced into inducement early.This "Operator Inducement Reset" allows the user to manually reset the 40 hour inducement timer prior to delivery, allowing the customer to have the full 40 hours leading up to inducement. This reset can only be performed within the first 35 hours of engine operation. After the initial 35 hours of engine operation, this feature can no longer be used.Active Diagnostic Codes
The purpose of this screen is to show all of the active diagnostic codes. Cat ET Location

Select the appropriate ECM.
Select the "Diagnostics" tab.
