At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. The radiator and all lines to heaters or the engine contain hot water or steam. Any contact can cause severe burns. Look at the sight gauge to check the coolant level. The coolant level should be in the green range. If necessary, remove the fill cap only after the engine has been stopped and the cap is cool enough to remove with your bare hand. Remove the cooling system fill cap slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system condition contains alkali that can cause personal injury. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes and do not drink. Allow cooling system components to cool before draining.
Put identification on all lines, hoses, wires and tubes for installation purposes. Cap and plug all lines, hoses and tubes to prevent foreign material from entering the system. Drain all fluids in a suitable container for storage or disposal.1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. 2. Remove four bolts (1) that hold coolant line elbows (2) to the radiator. 3. Loosen hose clamp (3) that holds the coolant line hose to the elbow on the engine. Reposition the coolant lines and elbows back on the engine.4. Remove two bolts (4) that hold coolant conditioner base mounting (5) to the radiator. Reposition the coolant conditioner base and mounting on the engine. 5. Disconnect ether starting aid lines (6). Remove bolts (7) that hold the halves of the fan guard together. 6. Remove bolts (8) that hold the right half of fan guard (9) to the radiator. Remove the right half of fan guard (9) from the machine. 7. Remove the four bolts and left radiator brace (10). Remove the bolts and the left half of fan guard (11).8. Carefully put pressure on the fan belt tightener with a pry bar. With pressure on the fan belt tightener, remove the V-belts from the pulleys. 9. Fasten a strap and a suitable lifting device to fan (12). Remove the bolts that hold fan adapter (13) to fan drive pulley (14) and remove the fan and adapter. The approximate weight of the fan 38 Kg (84 lb).Install Fan
1. Fasten a strap and a suitable lifting device to fan (1) and fan adapter (2). Install the bolts that hold fan adapter (2) to fan drive pulley (3). The approximate weight of the fan 38 Kg (84 lb).2. Carefully put pressure on the fan belt tightener with a pry bar. With pressure on the fan belt tightener, install the V-belts on the pulleys. 3. Install the bolts and the left half of fan guard (4). Install the four bolts and left radiator brace (5). 4. Install bolts (6) that hold the right half of fan guard (7) to the radiator. 5. Connect ether starting aid lines (8) and install bolts (9) that hold the halves of the fan guard together. 6. Install two bolts (10) that holds coolant conditioner mounting base (11) to the radiator.7. Tighten hose clamp (12) that holds the coolant line hose to the elbow in the engine. 8. Install new gaskets between elbows (13) and top radiator tank (14). Install four bolts (15) that hold the coolant line elbows to the radiator. 9. Refer to the Topic "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities" in the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the proper filling procedure and the proper levels for the hydraulic system and the cooling system.End By:a. install bail hook and guardb. *install power pack
