Information:
"Equipment ID"
The "Equipment ID" parameter allows the customer to enter a description into the ECM in order to identify the machine. A maximum of 17 characters can be entered in the field."Engine Serial Number"
The "Engine Serial Number" should be programmed to match the engine serial number that is stamped on the engine information plate. The engine serial number is not preprogrammed on a replacement ECM."FLS" (Full Load Setting)
"FLS" is a number that represents the adjustment to the fuel system that was made at the factory in order to fine tune the fuel system. The correct value for this parameter is stamped on the engine information ratings plate. This value should only be changed if the engine is rerated or a new ECM is installed. Factory passwords are required."FTS" (Full Torque Setting)
"FTS" is similar to "FLS". This value should only be changed if the engine is rerated or a new ECM is installed. Factory passwords are required.Engine Monitoring Mode
"Engine Monitoring Mode" allows the engine monitoring system to be programmed to meet the customer's needs in the event of abnormal engine operating conditions."Maintenance Indicator Mode"
The ECM records data that is related to engine maintenance. The ECM will activate the maintenance indicator on the display module and on ET when scheduled maintenance is due. Once maintenance has been performed, the "Maintenance" status on the service tool must be reset in order to allow the ECM to begin counting the operating hours for the next maintenance interval."PM1 Interval"
"PM1 Interval" allows the customer to define the maintenance interval in operating hours if "Maintenance Indicator Mode" is programmed to "Man Hour".Parameters Table

The FLS and the FTS should only be changed because of a mechanical change in the engine. The use of the wrong parameters could cause damage to the engine. The use of the wrong parameters may also void the Caterpillar warranty.
