Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Loosen nut (2).
Remove bolts (3) from bracket (4).
Remove bracket (4) from the assembly of aftertreatment regeneration device (ARD) (1). Ensure that primary fuel injector (5) is not dislodged as the bracket is removed.
Remove secondary fuel injector (6) from ARD (1). Ensure that primary fuel injector (5) is not dislodged as the secondary fuel injector is removed.
Remove insulator (7), O-ring seal (9), and ceramic washer (8) from the recess in ARD (1).

Remove nut (2) from connection (10).
Compress hose clamp (12) and remove the assembly of hose (13) from secondary fuel injector (6). Note: Make temporary marks on the hose assembly and the secondary fuel injector for assembly purposes.
If necessary, compress hose clamp (11) and remove connection (10) from the assembly of hose (13).
If necessary, remove hose clamp (11) and hose clamp (13) from hose (13).
Remove O-ring seal (14) from secondary fuel injector (6). Installation Procedure

Ensure that the secondary fuel injector is free from wear or damage. Replace the secondary fuel injector as an assembly if worn or damaged.
Ensure that the hose, hose clamps, and connection are free from wear or damage. Replace any components that are worn or damaged.

If necessary, install hose clamp (11) and hose clamp (12) from hose (13). Ensure that the hose clamps are in aligned with each other.
If necessary, compress hose clamp (11) and install connection (10) to the assembly of hose (13).
Compress hose clamp (12) and install the assembly of hose (13) to secondary fuel injector (6). Note: Make sure that the temporary marks on the hose assembly and the secondary fuel injector are aligned.
Install nut (2) to connection (10).
Install a new O-ring seal (14) to secondary fuel injector (6).

Follow Step 8.a through Step 8.d in order to install ceramic washer (8), O-ring seal (9), and insulator (7).
Clean the recess in ARD (1) for secondary fuel injector (5).
Install a new ceramic washer (8) to the recess in ARD (1).
Install a new O-ring seal (9) to the recess in ARD (1).
Install a new a new insulator (7) to the recess in ARD (1).
Install a new O-ring seal to primary fuel injector (5).
Install secondary fuel injector (6) to ARD (1). Ensure that the secondary fuel injector and the connection are correctly orientated into the ARD bracket.
Install bracket (4) to the assembly of ARD (1). Ensure that bracket (4) is correctly located into secondary fuel injector (6), primary fuel injector (6), and the bracket on the ARD assembly.
Install bolts (3) hand tight to bracket (4).
Tighten nut (2) hand tight.
Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 10 N m (89 lb in).
Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 23 N m (204 lb in). End By:
Install the aftertreatment regeneration device (ARD). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftertreatment Regeneration Device (ARD) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
