Start By:a. remove cylinder headb. remove oil pumpc. remove relief valve Remove all the carbon buildup at the top of the cylinder liner before removing piston & connecting rods. 1. Remove eight nuts (1).2. Remove four rod caps (2) and bearings. Keep the caps and bearings together for later installation. 3. Push pistons (3) and the connecting rods out through the top of the cylinder block (4).
Do not allow the connecting rods to hit the piston cooling jets, damage or misalignment could occur.
The following steps are for installation of the pistons
