Information:

At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill plug only when the engine is stopped, and the fill plug is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
4. Release the pressure from the hydraulic oil tank by slowly loosening the pressure cap located on the side of the hydraulic oil tank.5. Remove the cover from under the hydraulic oil tank to gain access to the drain plug. Drain the hydraulic oil tank. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is approximately 165 liters (44 U.S. gal).
At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
6. Release the pressure in the cooling system. Drain the coolant from the radiator. The capacity of the cooling system is 14.1 liters (3.7 U.S. gal). 7. Remove the twelve bolts that hold the upper and lower fan guards (1) in place. Remove the fan guards. Loosen the two clamps, and remove upper radiator hose (2).8. Remove the cover from under the radiator. Loosen the two clamps and remove the lower radiator hose. 9. Remove covers (3) and (4) from the machine. 10. Remove cover (6) and support (5) from over the main hydraulic pump. 11. Disconnect tube (7) from the bottom of the main hydraulic pump. 12. Put identification marks on eight hoses (8) as to their location on the main hydraulic pump. Disconnect the hoses from the main hydraulic pump. Put plugs in the hoses to keep dirt and debris out of the hydraulic system.
View Of Engine From Counterweight Side13. Put identification marks on three wiring harnesses (9) for installation purposes. Disconnect the three wiring harnesses (9). 14. Disconnect governor control cable (10) at the lever on the governor. Loosen nut (14), and remove the governor control cable from support bracket (11). Move the governor control cable clear of the engine.15. Disconnect fuel lines (12) and (13) from the fuel system. Put plugs in the lines to keep dirt and debris out of the fuel system.
View From Under Machine16. Put identification marks wires (15) as to their location on the electric starting motor. Disconnect wires (15) from the electric starting motor. 17. Disconnect wire harness (17) from the alternator.18. Turn off two heater hose valves (18). Put identification marks on the two heater hoses as to their location on the water pump. Disconnect the heater hoses.19. Remove the two clamps and air inlet hose (16).
Do not damage the radiator core, fan shroud or fan assembly during removal or installation of the engine. The engine must be held level during removal and installation to prevent possible interference between components.
20. Fasten a hoist to the engine. Remove four mounting bolts (19), the u-nuts and washers that hold the engine to the frame of the machine.21. Raise the engine approximately 6.4 mm (.25 in). Move the engine to the rear until the fan assembly is clear of the fan shroud. Remove engine and main hydraulic oil pump (20) as a unit. Weight of the unit is 658 kg (1450 lb).22. Remove the upper and lower rubber mounts from the front and rear engine mounts. The lower rubber mounts may fall out during engine removal, and remain on the frame of the machine. The following steps are for the installation of the engine and main hydraulic pump.
Visually check the condition of the upper and lower rubber engine mounts. If the rubber mounts are damaged, or appear to be compressed or weak, use new parts for replacement.
23. Fasten a hoist to engine and main hydraulic oil pump (20). Install the upper and lower rubber mounts in the front and rear engine mounting brackets. Lower the engine into position on the frame. Install four bolts (19), the washers and u-nuts that hold the engine in position. Do not tighten the mounting bolts at this time.24. Check the clearance between the fan blades and the fan shroud. The clearance should be the same at the top, bottom and sides of the shroud. The clearance can be adjusted by moving the engine as necessary.25. After the fan assembly has been centered in the fan shroud, tighten the four engine mounting bolts (19) to a torque of 95 19 N m (130 14 lb ft). 26. Connect air inlet hose (16) to the turbocharger and the air inlet pipe.27. Connect the two heater hoses to the water pump. Be sure the hoses are installed correctly. Open two heater hose valves (18).28. Connect wire harness (17) to the alternator.29. Connect wires (15) to the electric starting motor. 30. Connect fuel lines (12) and (13) to the fuel system.31. Put governor control cable (10) in position in support bracket (11). Connect the governor control cable to the control lever on the governor. Tighten nut (14) that holds the governor control cable in the support bracket. 32. Connect three wiring harnesses (9). 33. Check the condition of the o-ring seals in eight hoses (8) and in tube (7). If the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Connect eight hoses (8) to the main hydraulic pump. Connect tube (7) to the bottom of the main hydraulic pump. 34. Install support (5) and cover (6) over the main hydraulic pump. Reinstall covers (3) and (4).35. Connect the lower radiator hose to the radiator. Tighten the clamps that hold it. Reinstall the cover under the radiator. 36. Install upper and lower fan guards (1).37. Install upper radiator hose (2). Tighten the clamps that hold it.38. Fasten the stay support rod to the hood.39. Be sure the drain plug for the hydraulic oil tank is tight. Install the cover under the hydraulic oil tank.40. Install the counterweight
