A 463-3380 Lift As 1 Note: This procedure is intended for the installation of the guard assemblies in a shop environment. Conditions must be solid, flat, smooth, and unobstructed. Fully read this procedure and fully understand this procedure before proceeding with the work.Note: Use caution around potential pinch points. Be alert for possible movement of the guard assemblies.Note: Inspect all tooling for condition and proper operation.Note: Do not place any part of your body under the guard assemblies unless the mounting hardware is installed. Make sure that the tooling is in the proper location and providing proper support to the guard assemblies.

Rear Guard Assembly
Note: Inspect both halves of the hinges and the inspection latch. Make sure that both halves of the hinges and inspection latch are properly attached to the guard assembly and the machine frame. If any cracks are observed at either location, make suitable repairs prior to raising the guard assembly.
Use Tooling (A) to position rear guard assembly (15). The weight of rear guard assembly (15) is approximately 295 kg (650 lb).
Install four nuts (14) and the washers to secure rear guard assembly (15) to the machine frame.
Install two hinge bolts (13) and the nuts and the washers. Install the inspection latch bolt, the washer, and the lock nut (Not Shown).Note: The bolt head and the washer should be installed on the machine front side of both the hinges and the inspection latch.

Rear Center Guard Assembly
Note: Inspect both halves of the hinges and the inspection latch. Make sure that both halves of the hinges and the inspection latch are properly attached to the guard assembly and the machine frame. If any cracks are observed at either location, make suitable repairs prior to raising the guard assembly.
Use Tooling (A) to position rear center guard assembly (12). The weight of rear center guard assembly (12) is approximately 295 kg (650 lb).
Install four nuts (11) and the washers to secure rear center guard assembly (12) to the machine frame.
Install two hinge bolts (10) and the nuts and the washers. Install the inspection latch bolt, the washer, and the lock nut (Not Shown).Note: The bolt head and the washer should be installed on the machine front side of both the hinges and the inspection latch.

Front Center Guard Assembly

Install four nuts (8) and the washers to secure front center guard assembly (9) to the machine frame.
Install two hinge bolts (7) and the nuts and the washers. Install the inspection latch bolt, the washer, and the lock nut (Not Shown) .Note: The bolt head and the washer should be installed on the machine front side of both the hinges and the inspection latch.

Front Guard Assembly
Note: Inspect both halves of the hinges and the inspection latch. Make sure that both halves of the hinges and the inspection latch are properly attached to the guard assembly and the machine frame. If any cracks are observed at either location, make suitable repairs prior to raising the guard assembly.
Use tooling (A) to position front guard assembly (5). The weight of front guard assembly (5) is approximately 368 kg (810 lb).
With front guard assembly (5) still supported by Tooling (A), loosely install bolts (1), nuts (3), bolts (2), and the washers.
After starting the mounting hardware, tighten bolts (1), nuts (3), and bolts (2) to secure front guard assembly (5) to the machine frame.
Install hinge bolts (4) and the nuts and the washers. Install inspection latch bolt (6), the washer, and the lock nut.Note: The bolt head and the washer should be installed on the machine front side of both the hinges and the inspection latch.
