System Configuration Parameters
System configuration parameters affect the emissions of the engine and/or the power of the engine. System configuration parameters are programmed at the factory. Normally, system configuration parameters would never require changing through the life of the engine. System configuration parameters must be reprogrammed if an ECM is replaced. System configuration parameters do not require reprogrammed if the ECM software is changed. Factory passwords are required to change these parameters.
