Information:
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact the skin. Be sure that the engine and components are cool enough to touch with your bare hand prior to performing any service work.
Mark and identify hose assemblies for installation purposes. Cap and plug hose assemblies to avoid system contamination.
Located at the front of oil pan1. Position a suitable container under pipe plug (3) to contain the engine oil for storage or disposal. Remove pipe plug (3) from adapter plug (2). Loosen oil drain plug (1) and drain the engine oil. The capacity of the oil pan is 125 L (33 U.S. gal).
Located at the rear of oil pan2. Position a suitable container under bolt (4) to contain the engine oil for storage or disposal. Remove bolt (4) and the washer from oil pan assembly (rear section) (5). 3. Disconnect hose assembly (6) from oil pan assembly (front section) (7). 4. Disconnect wiring harness (8) from liquid level sensor (9) at the electrical connection. 5. Disconnect tube assembly (10) from oil pan assembly (front section) (7). For installation purposes, mark and identify the oil pan bolts. 6. Position the forks of a lift truck, (not shown), under the oil pan, using wood blocks. Remove 19 bolts (11) and the hard washers from oil pan assembly (front section) (7). 7. Remove 12 bolts (13) and the hard washers from oil pan (center section) (12). 8. Remove 13 bolts (14) and the hard washers from oil pan assembly (rear section) (5). 9. Remove oil pan sections (5), (7), and (12) as a unit and oil pan gaskets (15) and (16) from the engine. The weight of oil pan sections (5), (7), and (12) is 75 Kg (166 lb). Remove oil pan gasket side sections (16) and end sections (15) from oil pan sections (5), (7), and (12).10. Remove eight bolts (17) and the hard washers that hold oil pan (center section) (12) to oil pan assembly (rear section) (5). Remove oil pan assembly (rear section) (5) and integral seal (18) from oil pan (center section) (12).11. Remove eight bolts (19) and the hard washers that hold oil pan assembly front section (7) to oil pan center section (12). Remove oil pan center section (12) and integral seal (20) from oil pan front section (7). The following steps are for the installation of the oil pan. Inspect all O-ring seals for wear or damage and replace as necessary. Clean all gasket material off mating surfaces of the oil pan prior to assembly & installation. 12. Put integral seal (20) and oil pan center section (12) in position on oil pan assembly front section (7). Install eight bolts (19) and the hard washers that hold oil pan center section (12) to oil pan front section (7).13. Put integral seal (18) and oil pan rear section (5) in position on oil pan center section. Install eight bolts (17) and the hard washers that hold oil pan rear section (5) to oil pan center section (12). 14. Put oil pan gasket end sections (15) and oil pan side sections (16) in position on oil pan sections (5), (7), and (12). Apply 4C-9613 Silicone Sealant to both sides of gaskets (15) and (16), only at the four joints marked (X). 15. Position the forks of a lift truck (not shown) under the oil pan, using wood blocks. Put oil pan sections (5), (7), and (12), as a unit, in position on the engine. Apply 4C-9508 Wicking Sealant to the threads of bolts (14). Install 13 bolts (14) and the hard washers in oil pan assembly (rear section) (5). The weight of oil pan sections (5), (7), and (12) is 75 Kg (166 lb).16. Apply 4C-9508 Wicking Sealant to the threads of bolts (13). Install 12 bolts (13) and the washers in oil pan (center section) (12).17. Apply 4C-9508 Wicking Sealant to the threads of bolts (11). Install 19 bolts (11) and the hard washers in oil pan assembly (front section) (7). 18. Connect tube assembly (10) to oil pan assembly (front section) (7). 19. Connect wiring harness (8) to liquid level sensor (9) at the electrical connection. 20. Connect hose assembly (6) to oil pan assembly (front section) (7).
Located at the rear of oil pan21. Install bolts (4) and the washer in oil pan assembly (rear section) (5). Tighten bolt (4) to a torque of 55 7 N m (40 5 lb ft).
Located at the front of oil pan22. Install pipe plug (3) in adapter plug (2). Tighten oil drain plug (1) to a torque of 110 15 N m (81 11 lb ft).23. Fill the engine with oil. The oil capacity of engine is 125 L (33 U.S. gal).
