This Program must be administered either before or after failure.In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS45470" as the Part Numberand "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code.If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

This Revised Service Letter replaces the 03May2017 (Revised 21Nov2017) Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Affected Product, some machines moved from Group 2 to Group 1.

PROBLEM
The existing closed crankcase breather can freeze in ambient temperatures below -18 degrees Celsius (0 degrees Fahrenheit) on certain 236D/242D/246D/262D Skid Steer Loaders, 257D/277D/287D Multi Terrain Loaders, and 259D/279D/289D Compact Track Loaders, with the C3.3B Tier 4 Final engine. If the closed crankcase breather freezes, oil can bypass the turbo oil seal sending oil into the DOC and DPF causing premature failure of DOC and DPF systems, or it may cause the injector valve cover seal to get pushed out and purge oil into the engine compartment or may cause the dipstick to get pushed out and purge oil through dipstick tube.
