Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Drain" for more information.

Loosen hose clamp (2) and disconnect hose assembly (1) from water pump (3).
Loosen hose clamp (4) and hose clamp (6) . Disconnect hose assembly (5) from water pump (3) and the connection on the thermostat housing.
If necessary, remove bolt (16). Loosen hose clamp (14) and disconnect hose (15) from tube assembly (13).
Loosen hose clamp (11) and disconnect hose assembly (12) from water pump (3). Remove assembly (12).
Remove bolt (7) and bolt and washer (9) from adjuster bracket (8).
Remove adjuster bracket (8) from alternator (10).

Remove nuts (20).
Remove water pump (3) from the cylinder block. Note: If necessary, gently tap the water pump with a soft faced hammer in order to loosen the water pump.
Remove gasket (21) (not shown).
If necessary, remove connection (19) from water pump (3).
If necessary, remove studs (22) from the cylinder block. Note position of the stud for installation purposes. Installation Procedure

Ensure that the gasket surfaces of the water pump and the cylinder block are clean and free from damage.

If necessary, install studs (22) to the cylinder block. Ensure that the studs are installed into the correct position in the cylinder block. Tighten the studs to a torque of 10 N m (89 lb in).
If necessary, install connection (19) to water pump (3). Tighten the connection to a torque of 30 N m (265 lb in).
Position a new gasket (21) (not shown) onto the cylinder block. Ensure that the gasket is correctly orientated.
Install water pump (3) to the cylinder block.
Install nuts (20) to water pump (3) hand tight. Then, tighten nuts (20) to a torque of 10 N m (89 lb in).

Position adjuster bracket (8) onto alternator (10) and water pump (3).
Install bolt (7) and bolt and washer (9) to adjuster bracket (8) finger tight.
Connect hose assembly (5) to water pump (3) and the connection on the thermostat housing.
Tighten hose clamp (4) and hose clamp (6) securely.
Connect hose assembly (12) to water pump (3).
If necessary, install bolt (16) and install hose assembly (15) to tube assembly (13). Tighten bolt (16) to a torque of 25 N m (221. lb in). Tighten hose clamp (14) securely.
Tighten hose clamp (11) securely.
Connect hose assembly (1) from water pump (3). Tighten hose clamp (2) securely.
Install the fan and the pulley. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Fill" for the correct procedure.
