2. Loosen hose clamp (1).3. Disconnect hose (2). 4. Loosen hose clamp (3).5. Disconnect hose (4). 6. Remove two bolts (5) nuts and washers.7. Remove six bolts (6) and washers.8. Remove guard assembly (7). 9. Remove six bolts (8) (not shown) and washers.10. Remove fan (9) and fan adapter (10). 11. Remove five bolts (previously removed).12. Remove panel assembly (11). 13. Remove cotter pin (12) and washer.14. Remove pin (13). 15. Disconnect electrical quick connect (14).16. Remove two bolts (15) nuts and washers.17. Remove drive motor assembly (16).18. Repeat Steps 13 through 17 for removal of the left hand drive motor assembly. 19. Remove two flow gates (17). 20. Loosen clamp (18).21. Remove two bolts (19).22. Remove brace (20).23. Remove four bolts (21) and washers.24. Remove extension assembly (22). 25. Remove nut (23) and washer. Lay ground strap assembly aside.26. Disconnect hose assembly (24). Cap or plug immediately. 27. Remove nut (25) and washer.28. Disconnect cable assembly (26).29. Disconnect harness assembly (27). 30. Remove six screws (28) and washers.31. Remove cover (29).32. Disconnect harness assembly (27) from throttle actuator (30).33. Remove eight bolts (31) and washers.34. Disconnect harness assembly from the alternator.35. Disconnect harness assembly from water temperature sender assembly.36. Disconnect harness assembly from fuel shutdown solenoid.37. Disconnect harness assembly from oil pressure sending assembly and oil pressure switch assembly.38. Lay harness assembly aside. For photographic purposes only (radiator has been removed for this photo.39. Disconnect two hose assemblies (32).40. Remove elbow (33) (for clearance purposes). 41. Attach suitable chains and lifting device assembly or tool (A) as shown. 42. Remove two bolts (34) nuts and washers. 43. Carefully lift engine from mount assembly.
Check clearances all around engine compartment. Be sure that all disconnections have been made.
44. Remove engine from machine. The weight of the engine is 553 kg (1450 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the engine.45. With suitable chains and lifting device or tool (A), carefully lower the engine into the engine compartment.46. Position the engine with motor mounts properly aligned.47. Install two front motor mount bolts (34).48. Install elbow (33).49. Connect two hose assemblies (32).50. Connect harness assembly to oil pressure sender assembly and oil pressure switch assembly.51. Connect harness assembly to fuel shutdown solenoid.52. Connect wire harness to water temperature assembly.53. Connect wire harness assembly to the alternator.54. Install eight bolts (31) and washers.55. Connect wire harness assembly to throttle actuator (30).56. Install cover (29).57. Install six screws (28) and washers.58. Connect harness assembly (27).59. Connect cable assembly (26).60. Install nut (25) and washer.61. Connect hose assembly (24).62. Connect ground strap assembly with nut (23).63. Install extension assembly (22).64. Install four bolts (21) and washers.65. Install brace (20).66. Install two bolts (19).67. Tighten clamp (18).68. Install two flow gates (17).69. Install drive motor assembly (16).70. Install two bolts (15) nuts and washers.71. Connect electrical quick connect (14).72. Install cotter pin (12) and washer.73. Repeat Steps 68 through 72 for installation of the left hand drive motor assembly.74. Install fan adapter (10) and fan (9).75. Install six bolts (8) and washers.76. Install guard assembly (7).77. Install six bolts (6) and washers.78. Install two bolts (5) nuts and washers.79. Connect hose (4).80. Tighten hose clamp (3)81. Connect hose (2).82. Tighten hose clamp (1).83. Fill the engine with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual.84. Fill the radiator with coolant to the correct level.
