Parameter Descriptions
"Equipment ID"
"Equipment ID" allows the customer to enter a description into the Electronic Control Module (ECM) in order to identify the installation. A maximum of 17 characters may be entered in the field. This parameter is only for reference by the customer. This parameter is not required."Engine Serial Number"
Program the "Engine Serial Number" to match the engine serial number that is stamped on the engine information plate. If the ECM is replaced, the engine serial number from the engine information plate must be programmed into the new ECM."FLS" (Full Load Setting)
"FLS" is a number that represents the adjustment to the fuel system that was made at the factory in order to fine tune the fuel system. The correct value for this parameter is stamped on the engine information plate. Factory passwords are required in order to change this parameter."FTS" (Full Torque Setting)
"FTS" is similar to "FLS". Factory passwords are required in order to change this parameter."Engine Fan Control"
The "Engine Fan Control" parameter allows control of fan speed. Fan speed is calibrated using Cat ET. "Either Solenoid Configuration (If Applicable)"
The "Either Solenoid Configuration" parameter can be set to "Installed" or "Not Installed"."Engine Warmup Elevated Idle Feature Enable Status (If Applicable)"
"Engine Warmup Elevated Idle Feature Enable Status" allows this feature to be set to "Enabled" or "Not Enabled". This feature allows the engine's low idle speed to be elevated when the machine is running but the transmission is in Neutral. The engine speed will remain elevated until the transmission is engaged. The engine speed can also be set to low idle by setting the "Low/High Idle Switch" to high idle.User Defined Switch Action Configuration (If Applicable)
"User Defined Switch Action Configuration" allows this feature to be set to "Shutdown" or to "Idle Down". Cat ET can be used to configure the switch to either shut the engine down when the switch is pressed, or to reduce the engine speed to low idle when the switch is pressed. The default state will allow the engine to run.Tachometer Calibration (If Applicable)
The frequency of the tachometer output is proportional to engine speed. The ECM must know the tachometer's conversion factor in order to develop an accurate signal for the tachometer. The conversion factor is programmed into the tachometer's calibration parameter.Parameter Table
