2. Remove four bolts (2) and washers.3. Lower hinged cover (3).4. Remove six bolts (1) and washers.
Use two people or support adequately to lower hinged cover (3) and (4) as six bolts (1) are removed or personal injury could occur.
5. Remove hinged covers (3) and (4) from under machine. 6. Remove five bolts (5) and washers.7. Remove bottom pump guard (6).8. Remove four bolts (7) and washers.9. Remove bottom pump guard (8). 10. Remove eight bolts (9) and washers.11. Remove lower radiator guard (10). 12. Remove two bolts (12) and washers.13. Open right access panel door (11).14. Repeat Steps 11 & 12 for the left access panel door.
Counterweight is shown in photo. Engine removal is much easier with the counterweight removed.15. Loosen exhaust extension clamp (13).16. Remove exhaust pipe extension (14).17. Remove ten bolts (16) and washers.18. Remove hood assembly cover (15).19. Remove ten bolts (17) and washers.20. Remove hood assembly cover (18). 21. Open and lift engine hood assembly cover (20).22. 28. Remove three bolts (27) and washers.29. Remove four bolts (29) and washers.30. Attach Tool (A) and hoist to radiator hood assembly cover (28).31. Remove radiator hood assembly cover (28). The weight of the radiator hood assembly cover is 71 kg (150 lb).
The radiator hood assembly cover has many pinch points during the installation and removal procedures. Use proper care to avoid personal injury.
32. Remove two bolts (30) that hold the left tube assembly for the inner cooler to the hood assembly frame. 33. Remove two bolts (31) that hold the right tube assembly for the inner cooler to the hood assembly frame. 34. Remove two bolts (32) (not shown) and washers from the right front hood assembly frame support. 35. Remove two bolts (33) and washers from the right rear hood assembly frame support. 36. Remove two bolts (34) and washers to remove governor control cables P-clamps from the left rear hood assembly frame support.37. Remove four bolts (35) and washers from the left rear hood assembly frame support. 38. Remove two bolts (36) and washers to remove ether starting aid line P-clamps from the left front hood assembly frame support.39. Remove four bolts (37) and washers from the left front hood assembly frame support. 40. Attach Tool (A) and hoist to hood assembly frame (38).41. Remove hood assembly frame (38), The weight of the hood assembly frame is 117 kg (260 lb). 42. Remove all bolts that hold upper pump shields (39), (40) and (41) to the lower pump shields. Remove the upper shields. Upper shield (39) can not be removed from the pump compartment until the swing pump is removed. 43. Disconnect twelve hydraulic hose assemblies (42). Cap or plug immediately. 44. Attach a hoist and strap to swing pump (44).45. Remove four bolts (43) and washers.46. Remove swing pump (44). The weight of the swing pump (44) is 110 kg (310 lb). Check O-ring for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
Be aware that some of the routing of the hydraulic hose assemblies from the implement and drive pump could interfere in the removal of the swing pump.
Upper shield (39) can now be removed from the pump compartment since the swing pump has been removed. 47. Remove all bolts holding lower pump shields (46), (47) and (48). Remove the shields. Lower shield (48) can not be removed from the pump compartment until the dual pump (implement and travel) is removed.48. Disconnect twelve hydraulic hose assemblies (45). Cap or plug immediately.49. Remove muffler support (49). Two of the bolts removed are used to mount the implement and drive pump to the flywheel housing. 50. Support implement and drive pump (50) with a hoist and a strap.51. Remove the remaining eight bolts that hold implement and drive pump to the flywheel housing.52. Remove implement and drive pump (50). The weight of the implement and drive pump is 297 kg (660 lb). Check the O-ring for wear or damage. Replace if necessary. Be careful that the rubber caps of the of the implement and drive pump coupling group do not fall on the floor during the removal procedure and be lost.
Be aware that some of the routing of the hydraulic hose assemblies from the swing pump could interfere in the removal of the implement and drive pump.
53. Drain the radiator coolant into a suitable container. 54. Loosen lower radiator hose clamp (51). The pipe assembly will remain in position during engine removal. The hose will require guidance into position on the pipe assembly during the engine installation. 55. Loosen hose clamp (53).
