At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Drain the coolant only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap from the radiator slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to avoid personal injury.
1. Remove left hand door assemblies (1) and (2) from the engine enclosure. 2. Remove bolt (3), the washer, and left hand door assembly (4) from the engine enclosure.

Top of engine enclosure tube assembly3. Remove four bolts (7) and the washers from engine enclosure tube assembly (5). Using two people remove left hand door assembly (6) from the engine enclosure and rear frame assembly (8). 4. Disconnect hose assembly (10) from belt tightener (9). 5. Loosen clamp (11) and disconnect hose (12) from water pump cover (13). 6. Turn valve (14) to the "Off" position. Loosen clamp (15) and disconnect hose (16) from water pump cover (13). 7. Remove four bolts (18) and the washers. Remove outlet elbow (17) and the two gaskets, from the water pump cover and the regulator cover assembly. 8. Remove O-ring seal (19) from outlet elbow (17). 9. Loosen clamp (22) from hose (23). Remove five bolts (20) and water pump cover (13) from water pump (21). 10. Remove four bolts (25), four nuts (24), the bolt, the gasket, and water pump (21) from the timing gear housing and cooler inlet bonnet (26). 11. Remove O-ring seal (27) from water pump (21). 12. Remove O-ring seal (28) from water pump (21). The following steps are for the installation of the water pump.13. Make sure all components of the water pump are clean of dirt and foreign material prior to installation. Remove all gasket material from all mating surfaces of the water pump.14. Check all O-ring seals and components for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Lubricate all O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant being sealed. 15. Install O-ring seal (28) to water pump (21). 16. Install O-ring seal (27) and gasket (29) to water pump (21). 17. Install water pump (21), the gasket, four bolts (25), four nuts (24), and the bolt to the timing gear housing and cooler inlet bonnet (26). 18. Install water pump cover (13) and five bolts (20) to water pump (21). Connect hose (23) to water pump cover (13) and tighten clamp (22) to hose (23). 19. Install O-ring seal (19) and two gaskets (30) on outlet elbow (17). 20. Install outlet elbow (17), the two gaskets, and four bolts (18) to the water pump cover and the regulator cover assembly. 21. Connect hose (16) on water pump cover (13) and tighten clamp (15). Turn valve (14) to the "On" position. 22. Connect hose (12) to water pump cover (13) and tighten clamp (11). 23. Connect hose assembly (10) to belt tightener (9).

Top of engine enclosure tube assembly24. Using two people install left hand door assembly (6) to the engine enclosure and rear frame assembly (8). Install four bolts (7) and the washers to engine enclosure tube assembly (5). 25. Install left hand door assembly (4), bolt (3), and the washer to the engine enclosure. 26. Install left hand door assemblies (1) and (2) to the engine enclosure.End By:a. refill radiator
