1. Loosen setscrew (1), and remove pedal (2) from the shaft. 2. Remove four bolts (4), and remove pedal housing (3) from the floor plate. 3. Remove two bolts (7) and bar (6) from cover assembly (8).4. Remove three bolts (5) and cover assembly (8) from pedal housing (3). 5. Remove bearing (9) from cover (8).
Do not bend the rod of the cable assembly out away from pedal housing (3) more than 8° when removing the cotter pin and pin (14) that connects the rod end of the cable assembly to lever (12). This will cause damage to the cable assembly and shorten the service life of the cable assembly.
6. Remove cotter pin (13) and pin (14) that connects the cable assembly to lever (12).7. Remove lever (12) and shaft (11) as a unit and two washers (10) from the governor pedal housing. 8. Remove bolt (15) from lever (12).9. Remove shaft (11) and the key from the lever.10. Remove the key from shaft (11). 11. Remove rod end (20), guide (19), spring (18) and guide (17) from cable assembly (16). 12. Loosen bulkhead nut (21), and remove housing (3) from cable housing (16). 13. Remove bearing (22) from housing (3). 14. Remove the bolt that connects clip (23) and cable assembly (16) to the plate assembly. 15. Remove six screws (24) and cover (25) from the governor housing. 16. Remove bolt (31), and disconnect rod end (30) from lever (27).17. Remove lever (27) from the shaft.18. Loosen nut (29), and remove rod end (30) from the cable assembly.19. Remove nut (28)
