3. Disconnect hose assembly (1) from the torque converter oil cooler. 4. Lift battery covers and disconnect battery cables (2) on both sides of rear counterweight group. Pull the cables through the machine frame. Lower the battery covers. 5. Remove bolts (4), then remove covers (3) from each side of radiator guard. 6. Remove two door assemblies (6), support assemblies (5) and panel (7) from the right side of the engine compartment. The same items on the left side were removed when the fan was removed. 7. Remove two bolts (8) from each side of the radiator guard.8. Fasten a hoist to the radiator grille. Remove the eight bolts that hold the grille to the radiator. Remove the radiator grille. Weight of the grille is 250 lb (113 lb). 9. Remove one bolt (9) from each side of the radiator guard. 10. Remove three bolts (10) from each side of radiator guard. 11. Disconnect tube (11) from the radiator and loosen the clamp to remove it from the engine.12. Remove bolts (13) to disconnect tube (12) from the hydraulic oil cooler.13. Remove bolt and nut (15) to make bracket (14) free from the radiator. 14. Remove bolts (18) and the flanges to remove hose (17) and tube (12) as a unit from the engine.

15. Disconnect air conditioning hose (16). 16. Remove bracket (21) and bolts (22) from tube (23). Loosen the clamp and remove tube (23) from the engine.17. Remove bolts (19) and the flanges to disconnect hose (20) from the bottom of the hydraulic oil cooler. 18. Put identification on wires (24) then disconnect wires (24) from backup alarm and headlamps. On later machines only, a wiring harness will have to be disconnected for the backup alarm and headlamps. 19. Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to the radiator guard. Remove radiator guard (25) from the machine. The weight of the guard is 1474 kg (3250 lb).Install Radiator Guard
1. Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to the radiator guard. Put radiator guard (1) in position on the machine and remove the hoist and tool (A). 2. Connect wires (2) to backup alarm and headlamps. Connect the wiring harness on later machines. 3. Connect hose (5) to the bottom of the hydraulic oil cooler with the flanges and bolts (3).4. Put tube (6) in position and install the bolts to hold it to the bottom of the radiator and tighten the clamp that holds it to the engine. Install the bolts and bracket (4) to hold tube (6). 5. Put hose (8) and tube (12) as a unit in position and install the flanges and bolts (9) to connect hose (8) to tube (10). Connect hose (7) to the air conditioning compressor hose. See AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING SERVICE MANUAL, Form No. SENR7454 for the correct procedure to charge the system. 6. Install bracket (13) on radiator with the bolt and nut (14) that hold it.7. Install the bolts to connect tube (12) to the top of the hydraulic oil cooler.8. Put tube (11) in position and install the bolts to hold it to the radiator. Tighten the clamp that holds tube (11) to the engine. 9. Install three bolts (15) on each side of the radiator guard. 10. Install one mounting bolt (16) on each side (front ) of the radiator guard. 11. Install two mounting bolts (17) on each side (rear) of the radiator guard. 12. Install support assemblies (18), door assemblies (19) and panel (20) on the right side of the engine compartment. The same items on the left side will be installed when the fan is installed. 13. Fasten a hoist to cover (21) and put it in position on counterweight. Install the other cover in the same manner. Install the bolts that hold the covers. 14. Lift battery covers and connect battery cables (22) to their respective positions. 15. Connect hose (23) to the torque converter oil cooler.16. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level.END BY:a) install fan
