Introduction
Do not perform any procedure in this Special instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.This Special instruction illustrates the locations of the new wiring harnesses and the hardware for securing the harnesses.The locations of a new oil level sensor and of exhaust temperature sensors are also illustrated.The original engine wiring harness included the wiring for the alternator. The harness in this Special Instruction does not include wiring for the alternator. Before releasing the engine into service, perform either one of the following procedures which have instructions for wiring the alternator:
