-     The holes in the bores for the main bearings, between the cylinders, must have the piston cooler orifices installed.    
-     The camshaft bearing at the front of the block must be installed with the oil holes in a horizontal position. The joint at the top must be within 15 degrees from the vertical.

1 6N-8002 Crankshaft Bearing Cap    
6     14     7S-3224 Bolt     Install main bearing caps with the part number and "FRONT" toward the front of the block. Each cap has a number. Each cap must be installed in the same position as the correct number on the side of the cylinder block pan rail.    
Use the following procedure in order to tighten the main bearing cap bolts:
1. Apply clean engine oil to the threads of the bolts.
2. Tighten the bolt to
41 4 N m (30 3 lb ft).
2. Again , tighten the bolt to
41 4 N m (30 3 lb ft).
3. Tighten the bolts to an additional angle of 90 5 degrees.
Repeat the procedure for each bolt.
