6     14     3P-1323 Bearing Cap Bolt     Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bearing cap bolts :
1. Install bearing cap with the part number and ARROW toward the front of the block. Each cap has a number. Each cap must be installed in the same position as the correct number on the side of the cylinder block pan rail.
2. Before assembly, apply clean engine oil to the threads of the bolts.
3. Tighten the tab end bolt to
258 14 N m (190 10 lb ft).
4. Tighten the opposite end bolt to
258 14 N m (190 10 lb ft).
5. Again, turn the opposite end bolt to an additional angle of 120 5 degrees.
6. Again, turn the tab end bolt to an additional angle angle of 120 5 degrees.    
C     -     -     New dimension from centerline of crankshaft bearing bore to bottom of block (pan rails) is
165.10 mm (6.500 inch).
