Information:
2. Loosen two hose clamps (2), and disconnect hose (1) and tube (3) as a unit from the radiator. Turn inlet tube (3) in the lower hose to provide clearance when the radiator and guard are removed.3. Disconnect hose assembly (4) from the elbow (if equipped with an air dryer).
Always wear goggles when working on air conditioning systems. The system is under pressure at all times, engine running or not. Escaping Freon-12 (C C12 F2 Dichloro Difluoro Methane) can cause freezing of human flesh.Do not smoke while working on air conditioning systems. Inhaling Freon-12 through any smoking material, although not toxic or flammable, can generate phosgene gas and cause violent illness. Also, heat must never be applied to a charged system. See Air Conditioning And Heating Service Manual, Form No. SENR7454, for more information on removal and installation of lines and refrigerant from the system.
4. Loosen two couplings (5), and disconnect hose assembly (6) and (7) (if equipped with air conditioning).5. Remove the two clip assemblies, and disconnect connectors (8) and (9) that hold the wire assemblies together. 6. Loosen two clamps (11), and remove the outlet tube and hose (12) as a unit.7. Remove the two bolts, and remove bracket assembly (10) from the radiator guard. 8. Remove the bolt and clip that holds tube (15) to the rear frame.9. Remove the bolt that connects clip (14) to the radiator guard.10. Loosen hose clamp (13), and remove tube (15) from the air dryer (if equipped). 11. Remove the nut, and disconnect wire (16) from the fuel level sender. 12. Loosen the fittings, and disconnect tube (17) and (18) from elbows (19).13. Remove four bolts (20) that hold the radiator guard to the rear frame.
Do not damage the fan and the two tube assemblies that were disconnected in Step 12 when the radiator and guard are removed.
14. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to the radiator assembly as shown.15. Remove radiator and guard assembly (21) as a unit from the machine. The weight of the radiator and guard as a unit is approximately 231 kg (510 lb.).Install Radiator And Guard
1. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to the radiator assembly as shown.
Do not damage the fan and the two tube assemblies that were disconnected in Step 12 of the disassembly when the radiator and guard are installed.
2. Carefully put radiator and guard assembly (1) as a unit in position on the machine as shown. Do not damage the two tube assemblies to the air dryer (if equipped) and the fan. 3. Install four bolts (4) that hold the radiator guard to the rear frame.4. Connect tube (2) and (3) to elbows (5). 5. Put wire (6) in position on the fuel level sender, and install the nut that holds it. 6. Put the outlet tube and hose (9) in position, and tighten two hose clamps (8) that hold them in place.7. Put bracket (7) in position on the radiator guard, and install the two bolts that hold it in place. 8. Put tube (12) in position on the air dryer (if equipped), and tighten hose clamp (10).9. Put clip (11) in position on the radiator guard, and install the bolt that holds it.10. Put clip (13) in position on the rear frame, and install the bolt that holds it.
