ELECTROCUTION HAZARD - Ensure proper grounding.Avoid a buildup of hazardous live voltages on exposed surfaces by ensuring that all grounding wires/straps are always properly connected.Disconnected grounding wires, including grounding wires/straps for hazardous-voltage components and electrical enclosures, must be properly reconnected before connecting equipment to the power supply.Failure to follow these instructions could result in personal injury or death.
When service or maintenance must be performed in a hazardous-voltage component enclosure, always assume that a hazardous level of voltage could be present.Qualified personnel should manually check for hazardous-voltage using electrical measuring tools that have the capacity to measure the hazardous-voltage components being checked.The level of voltage present must be confirmed to be below 50 VDC before any exposure to the hazardous-voltage components can take place.Failure to follow these instructions could result in personal injury or death.

Personal injury or death can occur from heavy components falling during removal or installation.Properly support the component with a suitable lifting device during removal or installation.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Personal injury can result from hot oil or hot components.At operating temperature, oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns.Remove the fill cap only when the engine is stopped, and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Prepare the machine for maintenance. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Prepare the Machine for Maintenance".
Release the system pressure. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "System Pressure Release".
Turn the power disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Use two people to remove fan shroud (1). The weight of fan shroud (1) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).

Install Tooling (A). Attach Tooling (A) to fan assembly (2). The weight of fan assembly (2) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb).
