This Program must be administered either before or after failure.In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS45454" as the Part Numberand "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code.If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the 21Apr2017 (Revised 13Sep2017) Service Letter. Changes have been made to Termination Date, Affected Product, and Action Required.

PROBLEM
The existing Coupling Group can fill up with debris on certain 795F AC and 795F XQ Off-Highway Trucks. If the existing Coupling Group fills up with debris it can restrict axial movement of engine crankshaft leading to thrust washer wear.

ACTION REQUIRED
Note: If the Coupling has been updated to the Sealed Coupling per M0091856 "A Procedure to Improve the Coupling Adapter Group on Certain 795F AC and 795F XQ Off-Highway Trucks is Available," then monthly engine crankshaft endplay measurements are unnecessary. If the Coupling has not been updated to the Sealed Coupling, proceed with the inspection.
Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary.
Measure and record engine crankshaft end play at every monthly Planned Maintenance. Include Measurement date, Machine Serial Number, Current Endplay measurement, Baseline Endplay Measurement, Machine Hours, Coupling Hours, Adapter Group Hours, & Engine Hours.
Refer to Special Instruction M0079855, "Procedure for Checking Crankshaft End Play on Certain 794 and 795F Series AC Off-Highway Trucks."
Refer to Specifications "KENR9187" "C175-16 Engine for 795F Series AC Off-Highway Trucks", Crankshaft -Type 1 and Crankshaft - Type 2 for crankshaft end play values.
Compare current monthly measurement to baseline engine crank shaft end play measurement. Provide measurement data in CPI Feedback in SIMSi.
If the current monthly measurement is not within .003" (0.0762 mm) in either direction of the original measurement:
1. Give the information to your Dealer Technical Communicator (TC) along with this service letter program number and CPI number 366208. Request the Dealer TC to submit the information through CPI Feedback within the Service Information Management System (SIMSi).
2. Refer to KENR8715, "Coupler Adapter and Mounting" to disassemble the Coupling.
3. The Coupling metal components will need to be free of debris and thoroughly clean.
4. The silicone elements will need to be to be cleaned and inspec
