These labels should be installed on the rear valve cover at the front edge of the EPA Label. XYZ Corporation 3240 Arrow Drive Anywhere, YZ 99999 PRIORITY - Installation of California Air Resources Board (CARB) Certification Labels MODELS INVOLVED - 3406B Dear Caterpillar Product Owner: The California Air Resources Board (CARB) Certification Label for the above products was omitted during manufacturing. This label with adhesive backing is enclosed. These adhesive backed labels should be installed on the rear valve cover at the front edge of the EPA Label. Install the labels so they can be read from the front of the engine. If you are unable to install the CARB Certification Label or encounter any difficulties, contact your local Caterpillar dealer or TEPS dealer. Violation of California Air Pollution Control laws are subject to penalties pursuant to Health and Safety Code, Section 43016. Penalties can amount to $500.00 per vehicle for no label or an improper identification label.
