Illustration 2 shows the details of the power supply for the Electronic Control Module (ECM) and of connections to other components and systems on the vehicle. The connections for the power supply and for the engine throttle control must be made in order to have an engine system that functions.Using an externally controlled cranking system as shown in Illustration 2, requires the following Cat ET settings:
0 seconds for prelube
0 crank cyclesEmpty contact cavities in the customer harness connector must be plugged in order to keep out moisture.Refer to the engine Electrical Schematic for specific wire identifications and functions.Power Requirements and Grounding Considerations (Pins 1, 2, 27, 34, and 35)
