In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4526" as Part Number, "7755" as Group Number, and "96" as Description Code. Problem
Actuator arm movement can cause linkage and throttle bearing wear to be higher than desired on certain 3408 SI and 3412 SI Generator Set Engines; and on certain 3408 SI and 3412 SI Industrial Engines. A 7E8556 Actuator Assembly and 4P2008 Throttle Assembly can be installed to improve their service life.

Model Identification Number 3408 SI 6NB1-759 3412 SI 7DB1-525 The identification numbers listed above include both Generator Set Engines and Industrial Engines.
Parts Needed
1 - 7E8556 Actuator Assembly 1 - 4P2008 Throttle Assembly
Action Required
Follow the procedures in the Service Manual to remove the existing 7W1454 or 7W1455 Actuator Assemblies and 9Y4603 Throttle Assembly; and to install the new 7E8556 Actuator Assembly and 4P2008 Throttle Assembly. Make all necessary checks and adjustments before returning the generator set to service.
