Put identification on the tube assemblies and remove them from the dash.
Later Machine32. Disconnect rod assemblies (51) and (52) from the bellcrank for the hydraulic controls. Put identification on the rods for correct installation. 33. Remove hose (53) from the breather group in the valve cover.34. Install tooling (A) in the cylinder head as shown. Fasten a hoist with chains and a spreader bar to the engine. The spreader bar will prevent damage to the turbocharger from the chains.35. Remove the two bolts and nuts that hold the engine front support to the frame of the machine. Illustration B55969X1 shows the engine rear supports for later machines.36. Remove the bolts on each side of the machine that hold the flywheel housing to the frame of the machine. Remove engine (54) from the machine. The weight of the engine, hydraulic tank and flywheel clutch is 2900 lb. (1315 kg). The weight of the engine, hydraulic tank and torque converter is 3000 lb. (1360 kg). 37. Remove shims (55) at each rear position on the frame of the machine. Put identification on the shims for correct installation.Install Engines (Power Shift, Direct Drive And Special Application)
Illustrations are of an earlier machine except where shown different. 1. Install original amount of shims (1) on each side of the frame of the machine at the rear. Later machines do not have dowels in the frame.2. Fasten a hoist to engine (2) and put it in position on the frame of the machine. Make sure the flywheel housing is in position over the dowels in the frame at the rear.
Later Machine3. Install the bolts and nuts that hold the engine front support to the frame of the machine. Tighten the bolts and nuts to a torque of 325 25 lb.ft. (440 35 N m). Illustration B55970X1 shows the rear engine supports for later machines.4. Install the bolts on each side of the machine, that hold the flywheel housing to the frame of the machine.
