Problem
The engine 8N111 Mount Assemblies (rear) on some 631E and 637E Tractors are not providing acceptable service life. If an engine mount fails, it can result in a failure of the drive shaft. New engine mount assemblies need to be installed.

PARTS STOCK Dealers parts stock of 8N111 Mount Assemblies can still be used in 988B Loaders and 834B Tractors.
Affected Product
Remove the 8N111 Mount Assemblies from the tractors. Install the 7C3567 Mount Assemblies. Tighten the bolts which hold the support assemblies to the tractor frame to 400 +/- 20 Nm (320 +/- 15 lbft). Check the alignment of the engine and drive shaft. They must be aligned within a maximum of 2.67mm (.105") TIR (total indicator reading).

The installation will be done at no cost to you. Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately and schedule a time to have this service performed.
