Stationary seal
Lubricate the O-ring and the face seal with clean water.
Use the 8T-3034 Water Pump Seal Driver and hand pressure in order to install the O-ring and the face seal as a unit in the pump housing bore. Ensure that the identification mark is oriented away from the seal group that is mounted on the shaft.
Rotating seal
Remove the spring from the seat.
Put clean water on the seal as the only lubrication for assembly. DO NOT get any grease or oil on the seal faces.
Do not stretch the rubber of the seal at installation. If the seal is stretched, the service life is shortened.
Use the 8T-3034 Water Pump Seal Driver and hand pressure in order to push the seal on the shaft until the seal face makes light contact.Note: The seal must rotate with the water pump shaft. Do not use any lubricant (except clean water) that will reduce the friction between the seal and the shaft.

Coupling assembly (1) Coupler shaft
Align 6 holes in coupler spring pack (4) with the 6 holes in coupler shaft (1) . Install the coupler spring pack and the coupler shaft to the pump shaft by using 6 bolts (5) . Tighten the bolts to 130 20 N m (96 15 lb ft).
Install drive gear assembly (6) to coupler spring pack (4) with 8 bolts (2) and 8 hard washers (3) . Tighten the bolts to 30 3 N m (22 2 lb ft).
