Open the pump compartment and look behind theengine oil filter as shown in Illustration 3.

Measure sleeve external diameter on each of thehoses using the caliper square. See Illustration 4.

If sleeve diameter is MORE than 32.8 mm,then change the hose. Inspect both hoses.
A badly crimped coupling can easily be recognized.See Illustration 5.
