Start By:a. remove hydraulic cooler fan drive pump *b. remove lubrication pump drive (gear pump) *c. remove oil cooler pump drive **This operation is located in the Disassembly & Assembly, 5130B Excavator, Machine Systems module, SENR1472. 1. Remove four bolts (2) and the washers that hold bracket assembly (1) to accessory drive (4). Disconnect wiring harness (3) at the electrical connection. Using two people, remove bracket assembly (1) from accessory drive (4). 2. Install Tooling (A) to accessory drive (4), as shown. Position a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A), as shown. Secure the lifting device to a hoist. 3. Remove 20 bolts (5) that hold accessory drive (3) to the flywheel housing. Remove accessory drive (4) and cover gasket (6) from the flywheel housing. The weight of accessory drive (4) is 86 Kg (189 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the auxiliary drive group. 4. Clean cover gasket (6) off all mating surfaces of accessory drive (4).5. Install cover gasket (6) between accessory drive (4) and the flywheel housing. Install Tooling (A) to accessory drive (4), as shown. Position a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A), as shown. Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Put accessory drive (4) in position on the flywheel housing. The weight of accessory drive (4) is 86 Kg (189 lb). 6. Install 20 bolts (5) that hold accessory drive (4) to the flywheel housing. 7. Using two people, put bracket assembly (1) in position on accessory drive (4). Install four bolts (2) and the washers that hold bracket assembly (1) to accessory drive (4). Start By:a. remove accessory drive 1. Remove the eight bolts and two nuts holding cover (1) to the gear housing assembly. Remove cover (1) and the gasket.2. Remove the four nuts and washers holding the cover to the rear of the gear housing assembly. Remove the cover and the gasket.3. Remove cup plug (6).4. Remove adapter assembly (7). Remove seal (5) and O-ring seal (3) from adapter assembly (7).5. Remove twelve bolts and washers (2).6. Hold auxiliary drive gear (11) from the top while removing shaft assembly (9). Remove auxiliary drive gear (11) out of the top of the gear housing assembly.7. Remove thrust washer (10) from shaft assembly (9). Remove the setscrew.8. If necessary, remove sleeve bearings (4) and (8). The following steps are for the assembly of the accessory drive.
When installing sleeve bearings (4) and (8), make sure the lubrication holes in sleeve bearings (4) and (8) are aligned with the oil passage in the gear housing assembly.
9. If removed, install new sleeve bearings (4) and (8).10. Position sleeve bearing (4) on adapter assembly (7) making sure the oil passages are in alignment. Sleeve bearing (4) should be 1.0 0.5 mm (.039 .02 in.) below the inside surface of adapter assembly (7). The inside diameter of the sleeve bearing must be 63.500 0.038 mm (2.5000 .0015 in.).11. Position sleeve bearing (8) on the gear housing assembly making sure the oil passages are in alignment. Sleeve bearing (8) should be 1.0 0.5 mm (.039 .02 in.) below the surface of the gear housing assembly.12. Install thrust washer (10) to shaft assembly (9). Align and install the setscrew.13. Insert auxiliary drive gear (11) in the top of the gear housing assembly. Install shaft assembly (9) through auxiliary drive gear (11).14. Install twelve bolts and washers (2).15. Install adapter assembly (7) with a new seal (5) and O-ring seal (3). Lubricate the bore of the gear housing assembly with the lubricant being sealed.16. Coat cup plug (6) with 6V-6640 Sealant. Install cup plug (6) so that it is 1.25 0.25 mm (.049 .01 in.) below the surface of the adapter assembly.17. Install the cover and the gasket on the rear of the gear housing assembly. Install the four nuts and washers and tighten the nuts to a torque of 65 10 N m (48 7 lb ft).18. Install cover (1) and the gasket. Install the eight bolts and two nuts holding cover (1) to the gear housing assembly.End By:a. install accessory drive
