Information:
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the implement hydraulic circuits (boom, stick and bucket) before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows: a. Fully retract the rod in the stick cylinder.b. Adjust the position of the bucket so it will be flat on the ground when the boom is lowered.c. Lower the boom until the bucket is flat on the ground.d. Stop the engine, and put the hydraulic activation control lever in the "Lock" position.e. Move the control levers for the boom, bucket, stick and swing through their full travel strokes. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.f. Slowly loosen the Fill/Vent plug on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.g. Tighten the Fill/Vent plug on the hydraulic oil tank.h. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed.2. Drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 90 liters (23.7 U.S. gal).
At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure in the cooling system. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
3. Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the cooling system is 22 liters (5.8 U.S. gal). 4. Loosen clamp (1). Disconnect upper radiator hose assembly (2) from the radiator. 5. Remove two tie wraps (3). 6. Loosen clamp (5).7. Disconnect overflow hose assembly (4) from coolant reserve tank (6).
View From Under Machine8. Remove bolts (7), the washers and sheet assemblies (8) and (9) from under the engine compartment.
Typical Example9. Remove upper radiator brace mounting bolt (10).10. Remove lower radiator brace mounting bolt (11). 11. Remove top radiator brace mounting bolt (12).12. Remove the lower radiator brace mounting bolt from brace (13). 13. Loosen clamps (14).14. Disconnect hose assembly (15) from the hydraulic oil cooler. 15. Loosen clamps (16).16. Disconnect hose assembly (17) from the hydraulic oil cooler. 17. Loosen clamp (18). Disconnect lower radiator hose assembly (19) from the radiator. 18. Fasten a hoist to radiator and hydraulic oil cooler (20) to support it.
View From Under Radiator19. Remove two bolts (21) from the underside of the radiator.
View From Under Radiator20. Remove two bolts (22) from the underside of the radiator. The bolt located below bolt (23) is holding the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler together.21. Remove three bolts (23) that hold the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler to the frame of the machine.
Do not damage the radiator or hydraulic oil cooler when it is removed from the machine.
22. Carefully remove radiator and hydraulic oil cooler (20) from the machine. The combined weight of the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler is 68 kg (150 lb). 23. Support the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler so it can not fall. Fasten a hoist to hydraulic oil cooler (26). Remove bolts (25) that hold the hydraulic oil cooler to radiator (24). Remove the hydraulic oil cooler. The weight of the hydraulic oil cooler is 36 kg (80 lb). The weight of the radiator is 32 kg (70 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the hydraulic oil cooler and radiator.24. Check the condition of the hydraulic oil cooler and radiator prior to installation. Remove any dirt or debris that may restrict the flow of air through the cores. If any of the cooling fins are bent, they should be straightened. 25. Support radiator (24) so it can not fall. Fasten a hoist to hydraulic oil cooler (26). Put the hydraulic oil cooler in position on the radiator, and install bolts (25) that hold it.
Do not damage the radiator or hydraulic oil cooler when it is installed in the machine.
26. Fasten a hoist to the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler (20). Carefully put the unit in position in the machine. 27. Install three bolts (23) that hold the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler to the frame of the machine.
View From Under Radiator28. Install two bolts (22) at the underside of the radiator.
View From Under Radiator29. Install two bolts (21) at the underside of the radiator. 30. Connect lower radiator hose assembly (19) to the radiator. Tighten clamp (18) that holds it. 31. Connect hose assembly (17) to the hydraulic oil cooler. Tighten two clamps (16) that hold the hose assembly in position. 32. Connect hose assembly (15) to the hydraulic oil cooler. Tighten two clamps (14) that hold the hose assembly in position. 33. Install the lower radiator brace mounting bolt in brace (13).34. Install top radiator brace mounting bolt (12).
Typical Example35. Install lower radiator brace mounting bolt (11).36. Install upper radiator brace mounting bolt (10).
View From Under Machine37. Install sheet assemblies (8) and (9) under the engine compartment. Install bolts (7) and the washers that hold the sheet assemblies in position. 38. Connect overflow hose assembly (4) to coolant reserve tank (6). Tighten clamp (5) that holds the hose assembly in position. 39. Install two new tie wraps (3).
