Information:
1. Position a suitable container under the transfer case. Loosen filler cap (1) from tube assembly (2). Remove plug (3) from drain assembly (4) and drain the transfer case assembly. The capacity of the transfer case assembly is approximately 96 L (25 U.S. gal). 2. Position a suitable container under tank assembly (5). Loosen filler cap (6) from tank assembly (5). Remove drain plug (7) from bottom of tank assembly (5). Drain tank assembly (5). The capacity of tank assembly (5) is 253 L (67 U.S. gal). For the removal and installation of the engine, the air conditioning system does not need to be evacuated. The air conditioning compressor can be removed without disconnecting the hose assemblies.3. Mark and identify two wire harnesses (8) and (9) for installation purposes. Disconnect two wire harness (8) and (9) at the electrical connection. 4. Loosen, but do not remove two bolts (10) and the washers from compressor bracket (11). 5. To release the V-belt tension, loosen, but do not remove two nuts (13) from block (12). 6. Remove bolt (14), the full nut, the washers, and block (12) from bracket (15). 7. Loosen, but do not remove three bolts (18), the three full nuts, the washers, and guard assembly (16) from clutch and refrigerant compressor (17). Remove the V-belt from clutch and refrigerant compressor (17). 8. Remove two bolts (10), the washers, and clutch and refrigerant compressor (17) from compressor bracket (11). Set clutch and refrigerant compressor (17) aside as shown. 9. Turn ball valves (18) and (19) to the "Off" position as shown. Disconnect hose assembly (20) from ball valve (18). Disconnect hose assembly (21) from ball valve (19). 10. Disconnect two tube assemblies (23) from the steering pump and implement pump as a unit. Disconnect hose assembly (22) from the implement pump. 11. Remove two hose assemblies (25) and (26) from steering pump (24). 12. Disconnect hose assembly (27) from block (28). 13. Disconnect hose assembly (29) from implement pump compensator valve (30). 14. Disconnect hose assembly (31) from steering pump (24). 15. Remove bolt (32), the washer, and bracket (33) from torque converter housing (34). Set the hose assembly aside. 16. Disconnect hose assembly (35) from transmission pump (36). 17. Disconnect hose assembly (37) from torque converter housing (34). 18. Disconnect two hose assemblies (39) and (40) from differential lock pump (38). 19. Disconnect two hose assemblies (42) and (43) from brake pump (41). 20. Disconnect hose assembly (44) from block (45). 21. Disconnect hose assembly (46) from differential lock filter base (47). 22. Disconnect hose assembly (49) from brake oil filter base (48). 23. Disconnect hose assembly (51) from screen base (50). 24. Remove two bolts (52), the washers, and plate (53) from aftercooler cover (54). Loosen clamp (55) and remove turbocharger pipe assembly (57) from muffler assembly (56). 25. Disconnect hose assembly (58) from torque converter housing (34). 26. Disconnect hose assembly (60) from tube assembly (59). 27. Mark and identify two cable assemblies (62) and (64), and the wires for installation purposes. Remove two nuts (63), the washers, and cable assemblies (62) and (64) from electric starting motor (61).28. Repeat Step 27 for the remaining electric starting motor, if equipped. 29. Mark and identify wire harness (65) for installation purposes. Disconnect wire harness (65) at the electrical connections. Remove bolt (66), the washer, and clip (67) from the rear frame assembly. Set wire harness (65) aside. 30. Disconnect hose assembly (69) from tee (68). 31. Loosen locknut (71) and remove hose assembly (70) from bracket (72). 32. Turn the valves to the "Off" position. Mark and identify two hoses (74) and (76) for installation purposes. Put a suitable container under hoses (74) and (76) to contain the coolant for storage or disposal. Loosen two clamps (73) and (75) and disconnect two hoses (74) and (76) from the engine. 33. Disconnect hose assembly (78) from belt tightener (77). Disconnect hose assembly (80) from fan drive (79). 34. Put a suitable lifting device in position on engine (81), as shown. Secure the lifting device to a hoist.

Front housing end 35. Remove four bolts (82), four washers (85), four mount assemblies (83), four sleeves (84) and the engine and torque converter from rear frame assembly (86). The weight of engine and torque converter (81) is 3042 Kg (6700 lb). 36. Position engine and torque converter (81) on suitable stands as shown. The following steps are for the installation of the engine and torque converter.37. Make sure all the components of the engine and torque converter are clean of dirt and foreign material.38. Check all O-ring seals and components for wear or damage and replace if necessary.

Front housing end39. Put a suitable lifting device in position on engine (81), as shown. Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Install the engine and torque converter, mount assembly (83), sleeve (84), four washers (85), four bolts (82) to rear frame assembly (86). The weight of the engine and torque converter is 3042 Kg (6700 lb). 40. Connect hose assembly (80) to side of fan drive (79). 41. Connect hose assembly (78) to belt tightener (77). 42. Connect two hoses (74) and (76) to the engine. Tighten two clamps (73) and (75). Turn the valves to the "On" position. 43. Install hose assembly (70) on bracket (72). Tighten locknut (71) to bracket (72). 44. Connect hose assembly (69) to tee (68).
