FLUID SPILLAGE CONTAINMENTCare must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to "TOOLS AND SHOP PRODUCT GUIDE, NENG2500", for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids in Caterpillar machines. Dispose of fluids according to local regulations and mandates. Put identification on all lines, hoses, wires and tubes for installation purposes. Cap and plug all lines, hoses and tubes to prevent the loss of fluids, and to prevent foreign material from entering the system. Drain all fluids in a suitable container for storage or disposal. Check the condition of all O-ring seals that are in any lines, hoses or tubes disconnected during this procedure. If any of the seals are damaged, use new parts for replacement.Start By:a. *disconnect the hoses for the air conditioner and heater unit*See the topic, "Remove & Install Air Condition-Heater Unit" in SENR1228
