Table 1
Default Minimum Maximum
2 km/h (1 mph) 2 km/h (1 mph) 24 km/h (15 mph) "Idle RPM Limit"
This parameter is the maximum engine rpm in idle mode. The idle mode occurs if the engine rpm is set by using the cruise control On/Off switch and the Set/Resume switch. The actual high limit of this parameter is determined by the programmed top engine limit. The lower limit is determined by the programmed "Low Idle Engine rpm".Programming this parameter to 600 rpm prevents the engine from idling at a constant rpm above the programmed low idle rpm.
Table 2
Default Minimum Maximum
TEL rpm 600 rpm TEL rpm "Idle/PTO RPM Ramp Rate"
This parameter determines the rate of the increase or of the decrease in engine rpm for the following functions:
Idle rpm
PTO rpmThe parameter can be set to a value between 5 rpm and 1000 rpm in one rpm increments.Note: The parameter affects both idle control and PTO control. The idle mode occurs if the engine rpm is set by using the cruise control On/Off switch and the Set/Resume switch. The PTO mode occurs if the engine rpm is set by using the "PTO On/Off" switch and the Set/Resume switch.
Table 3
Default Minimum Maximum
50 rpm/sec 5 rpm/sec 1000 rpm/sec "Idle/PTO Bump RPM"
This parameter determines the increment or the decrement in engine rpm when the accel switch or the decel switch is briefly toggled. This parameter also pertains to the dedicated PTO and idle. If a "PTO Engine RPM Set Speed" has been programmed, the "Idle/PTO Bump RPM" pertains only to the control of the engine rpm that is initiated by using the cruise control On/Off switch. If a PTO engine rpm set speed has been programmed, the "Idle/PTO Bump RPM" also pertains to the control of the engine rpm that is initiated by using the PTO On/Off switch.
Table 4
Default Minimum Maximum
20 rpm 5 rpm 500 rpm Fast Idle
This feature is enabled via the fast idle enable switch. Toggle the switch in order to select the various idle speeds. Refer to Illustration 1.
Illustration 1 g01336035
Idle speeds that can be set via the fast idle enable switch
"Fast Idle PRM #1"
This parameter determines the default fast idle speed. The value of this parameter will be the fast idle speed until the ECM is powered down. The operator can override the value of this parameter by performing the following procedure after the fast idle feature has been engaged.
Depress the accelerator pedal until the desired engine speed is reached.
Momentarily activate the fast idle enable switch.
Table 5
Default Minimum Maximum
1000 rpm 600 rpm TEL rpm "Fast Idle PRM #2"
This parameter determines a second fast idle speed. Setting the value of this parameter to "0" disables the feature.
Table 6
Default Minimum Maximum
0 rpm (Disabled) 600 rpm TEL rpm "Warm Up Mode Idle Speed"
This parameter determines the engine rpm while the engine is in warm up mode. Warm up mode is activated if the sum of the coolant temperature and inlet manifold temperature is less than 30 °C (86 °F).Warm up mode is disabled by the following actions:
Depressing the service brake
Depressing the clutch
Placing the transmission in gear from neutral
Table 7
Default Minimum Maximum
0 rpm (Disabled) 600 rpm 1400 rpm
