Install two bolts (4) and washers in order to secure support assembly (5) to its mounting. Remove the lifting strap. 6. During the installation of the V-belts, check the condition of all the V-belts. If any of the V-belts are damaged, use new parts for replacement.7. Install V-belts (3) on the alternator drive pulley.8. Tighten bolts (1) and (2) on the alternator brackets.9. Adjust the V-belt tension. Refer to the "Operation & Maintenance Manual" for the proper procedure of adjusting (new or used) V-belt tension.10. Tighten the fan V-belts until they deflect 12 mm (1.2 in) for new V-belts, or 5/8 16 mm ( in) for old V-belts under the application of a 13 Kg (25 lb) force half way between the pulleys.11. A Burroughs Gauge No. BT-33-72-4-15 can also be used to make the fan V-belt adjustment. Make an adjustment to the V-belt farthest from the engine. The gauge reading for a new V-belt must be 120 5 and for a V-belt with a minimum of 30 minutes of operation time 90 10.End By:a. install hoodDisassemble & Assemble Fan Drive
