3. Remove oil line (1) from the torque divider to the range transmission. Remove oil line (2).4. Remove wiring (3). Remove oil line (5) from the rear of the transmission oil pump. Remove oil line (8) at the bottom of the transmission oil pump.5. Loosen all hose clamps at locations (9), (7) and (4).6. Remove oil line (6) from the rear of the transmission oil pump. 7. Remove support (10) for transmission cooler line.8. Loosen hose clamps (11) and put the hose out of the way of the line from the hoist pump. 9. Remove bolt (12) that holds line (14) to universal joint shield. Remove line (14).10. Remove signal line (15) for the torque divider controls.11. Remove the bolts that hold the universal joint shield (13) to the torque divider. Remove the shield. 12. Remove the bolts that hold the universal joint (16) to the torque divider. Move the universal joint toward the transmission. 13. Remove bolts (21) and remove hose from elbow (19).14. Remove elbow (19) from the pump.15. Remove bolts and cap (17) from the engine left rear mount.16. Remove the bolts (20) that hold tube (18). 17. Remove bolts (25) that hold tube (21). Remove bolts that hold bracket (26) to the oil pan.18. Remove clamp (24) and remove tube (21).19. Disconnect the tube from the steering tank filter after bolts (22) are removed.20. Remove bolts that hold clamp (23) at the engine right rear mount. 21. Remove bolts that hold line (27) and remove line (27) from the steering tank. 22. Remove the bolts (28) that hold the flexible air hose from the air cleaner to the turbocharger. Make sure that the turbocharger inlet tube is covered to keep dirt out of turbocharger.23. Shut off fuel at the bottom of fuel tank. 24. Disconnect fuel line (29) at the primary fuel filter.25. Remove the bypass line (30) at the secondary fuel filters. 26. Fasten a hoist to the exhaust elbow (31). Remove the bolts that hold it. Weight of the elbow is 100 lb. (45.4 kg). Remove intermediate exhaust tube. 27. Remove line (32) to steering cylinder. Remove line (33). Remove oil drain extension (34). 28. Remove line (37) to transmission oil cooler.29. Remove clamp (35) that holds line (36) to top of transmission oil cooler. 30. Disconnect line (38) from the steering pump to the flow control valve.31. Disconnect line (40) for the hoist cylinders at connection (39).32. Remove the bolts that hold the steering flow control valve bracket to the cross member. 33. Disconnect the air outlet line (41) at the air compressor. 34. Disconnect pressure signal line (42) at the air compressor governor.35. Disconnect wiring at solenoid terminal (43) and starter motor terminal (44). Move the wiring out of the way of the engine. 36. Loosen clamp (45) and remove heater hose from water adapter tube.37. Remove water adapter tube (47) and hose (48) from the water pump.38. Remove nut and washer and disconnect throttle linkage (46).39. Disconnect wiring (49) from the engine. 40. Remove clamp (50) and disconnect water hose at connection (51) on engine head. 41. Disconnect wire (53) from the alternator.42. Remove wire (52) from clips on the engine and remove the wire at the camshaft housing. 43. Remove two bolts (54) from each side of the engine front support. 44. Fasten a hoist to the engine (55) as shown. Remove the engine and torque divider. Weight of the engine and torque divider is 5300 lb. (2404 kg).Install Engine And Torque Divider
1. Fasten a hoist to the engine and torque divider (1). Put the engine and torque divider in position on the engine mounts. Weight of the engine is 5300 lb. (2404 kg). 2. Install the bolts (2) that hold the engine front mounts to the frame of the truck.3. Install the caps and bolts that hold the engine to the engine rear mounts. 4. Put the flow control valve (3) in position on the cross member. Install the bolts that hold it to the frame cross member. 5. Install oil line (4) from flow control valve with clip (5) on frame of truck. Connect filter hose (6) to flow control oil line (4). 6. Install oil line (7) on flow control valve. Install auxiliary steering line (8) on flow control valve. Fasten clamp (9) that holds oil line (8) to the oil cooler. 7. Install steering gear oil line (10). Install transmission cooler hose (11) to transmission oil cooler.8. Install steering pump line (12) to tube assembly (13) on the flow control valve. 9. Install wiring to terminals (14) and (15) for electric starting motor and solenoid.10. Install air sensor line (16) to the air compressor governor. Install the air outlet line to the head of the air compressor. 11. Connect throttle linkage (18) at location (19).12. Connect wiring (17) to the alternator and camshaft housing for the glow plugs. Connect two wires (20) and (21).13. Connect heater hose to valve on the head of engine. Install the clip that holds it to the engine.14. Install the water regulator elbow and hose to the water pump bonnet. Connect the heater hose to the water temperature elbow. 15. Install torque divider cooler line (23). Install clip (22) that holds line (23) on torque divider.16. Install cooler line (23) on cooler hose (24) at connection (25). 17. Install the universal joint (26) on the torque divider. Tighten the bolts that hold the universal joint to the torque divider to a torque of 100 10 lb.ft. (135.6 13.6 N m). 18. Install the universal joint shield (27) and fasten line (30) to the universal joint shield with clip (28). Install the torque divider control signal line (29) to the torque divider. 19. Install the flexible hose (31) from the air cleaner to the turbocharger inlet elbow. Make sure the turbocharger inlet tube is free of restrictions. 20. Install steering pump inlet hose (32) to steering oil tank.21. Connect fuel inlet line (33) to the primary fuel filter.
