Introduction
A new Brushless motored Fuel Pump Module (BFPM) has been introduced to replace the original brushed motored Electric Fuel Pump Module (EFPM) on 3054C and C7.1 (Mech) engines.Note: Changing from EFPM to BFPM requires a change to the electrical circuit. The new BFPM is an improved design and maintains current fuel delivery performance.Removal and Installation Procedure for Four Cylinder Engines

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on wires and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss and helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Typical example
Place a suitable container below fuel filter (9) in order to catch any fuel that might be spilled. Drain the fuel filter. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
Make a temporary identification mark on tube assembly (7), tube assembly (10), and tube assembly (11) .
Disconnect tube assembly (7), tube assembly (10), and tube assembly (11) from fuel priming pump (6) .
Use suitable plugs to plug the connections on fuel priming pump (6) and tube assembly (7), tube assembly (10), and tube assembly (11) .
Disconnect the wiring harness (8) .
Support fuel priming pump (6). Remove nuts (5), remove bolts (1), washers (2), mounts (3) and spacers (4). Remove fuel priming pump (6). Retain nuts, bolts, washers, mounts, and spacers. Discard existing fuel priming pump.
